Yup! That video partly motivated this one, but I do think there's a big benefit to having a video just for the signature ubers, and also to have them actually performed in-game... in the menu is cool and all, but I prefer this.

It makes a lot more sense with the name, before I always just thought it was supposed to be like "a banging trick", as an adjective for awesome.

You think so? While these tricks are cool and unique, they are a lot easier than monsters, so to me it makes sense for monsters to be better. What we should have is to have it so that monsters weren't so dang exploitable so you could only do it a limited amount or in specific situations, making it so that other tricks are viable and required too.

I loved seeing the HD textures on the dolphin emulator. However there is one big reason I stick with the PCSX2/XB1 back compat version. It has much better sound. The bitrate the music and SFX run at is noticably higher, and clearer than the game cube version, and I find myself forgoing the higher visual fidelity for that reason alone. Wonder if there is a way to get the same sound quality out of the gamecube version.

That's interesting! I probably don't have the audio equipment to notice the difference, or I just don't know what to look for, I actually wasn't aware that was different between them. I can definitely see why people might be drawn to that over the HD texture pack, especially if they're an audiophile :)

I was always a fan of these... pity they aren't viable over the trusty Monster Tricks. How much faster are spins and grabs with a stat of 11 compared to 1?

It really is, I would love for these to have a place in the "meta". And not crazy much, but it is significantly faster with 11 on your stats... I'd guess somewhere between 50-100% faster, considering on a jump where you can do up to 9 flips with full stats, you cap out at 6 with 1 in all stats.

Hey Veikka, it's not actually locked! I assume you're asking because the option is grayed out and you can't click it. If you connect a second controller, the option should open up to you. Hope that helps ^^

Yeah! That one has some very weird landing properties. It gets completely broken when you add frame cancelling to the mix.

I got into this game recently and I don't get the controls. How do you do these tricks? I play on pcsx2 btw.

So these signature tricks specifically require a bit of prepwork - first, fill the boost bar on the right up by doing tricks. It will glow yellow. Then, you need to do 4 uber tricks to fill in the UBER letter above the boost bar. It will start glowing orange. Then, you press either L1 + L2 + square or R1 + R2 + square (depends on character). That should work!
