Tucked into a stunning and unspoilt spot on the north Cornish coast, St. Agnes sits in both a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site. Our compact little village has a thriving and creative local community which supports lots of independent shops and businesses. Add beautiful, dog-friendly beaches, world-class pubs and restaurants, and access to some of the county's most stunning coast path and walks, it's not hard to see why we're so proud of where we live.

We had holidays in St Agnes every year from between 1966 until 1971, staying in the houses up the private road on the left, on top of the cliffs, owned at the time by Mr and Mrs Thewlis. I was only 5 years old when I discovered this magical place. I spent possibly the best times of my life playing with my cousins in the rock pools and walking the coastal paths, seeing the blow hole and looking out at, I think it was called, Man and his Man, the large rock out at sea. The yellow Cornish ice cream that actually used to have pieces of ice in it was the best ever, tasting like no other.There was a seal sanctuary in those days opposite Davy Jones Locker on the beach. St Agnes will forever make me smile. My cousin Gary actually moved to a small village across the bay near Perranporth about 15 years ago, purely because he had also fallen in love with this part of Cornwall. My only regret is that my sister was born after 1971 and has never seen this wonderful place.

I visited St Agnes in October 2016 as a weekend getaway from training in London. Taking the overnight train on the GWR just added to the magic. The landscape and seascape were breathtaking and it's wonderful that so much of the coast is protected. Aside from the sweeping views, what I took away from the trip was how friendly and kind the locals were. I walked to the Blue Hills Tin Mine and the proprietor was worried about me getting back safely since it started raining and visibility was poor, so she gave me a lift back to the village. The congregation at the local Methodist Church was very welcoming to the point where I felt like I was visiting my grandparents' church back in Virginia! The team at the St Agnes Museum were delightful and helped me pick out some choice postcards to send home. It was a wonderful experience all around and I would love to visit again with my family this time.

Made a weekend trip there in around 1993 when on military duty in London and met many relatives. My great grandfather left St. Agnes for Grass Valley, California, in around 1900. Was nice to run into people who could pronounce my last name.

Accidentally drove in to St Agnes in 2007. Been coming pretty much every year since.

My dad used to be Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce in the late 50's and early 60's. He was bank clerk at Lloyds Bank and we lived in the bank house.
