I love flounder! From Oct-April we catch a bunch of floor mat flounder and slot red fish in the brazoria marsh.

@BlackSpittingCobra The old rods were $169, much beefier handles and the kevlar wrap made it stronger, but the NEW flats blue rods have so much more than the old rods.

@rolltide545 To catch a flounder, use D.O.A. CAL jigs bounced on the bottom slowly on sandy bottoms.

I've caught it on the DOA CAL Figi Chix Shad CAL Jig Head. Good ol' "Door Mat" otherwise known as the Flounder. Good eatin' no doubt.

Here in Jersey when a Flounder is a left hand Flounder it is called a Fluke, And when it's on the right side it is a Flounder, they are actually different species.

On a boat in open water, you want to wear colors that can be seen. The colors aren't going to deter a fish more than the boat.
