We are already Florida residents and we use traveling mailbox but will be switching to St. Brendons isle when we get back from Canada in the fall. Green cove springs is actually a cool little town. We love Anastasia state park in st. Augustine, hard to get reservations but awesome campground. Larry

Buy a small piece of property in Florida. Look for a lot with a mobile home that has no association fees so that you can custom build a parking space for a Class A. I know of a special place on the Space Coast where you can make this possible. A home base with super low taxes you can come and go from.

St. Augustine is so pretty at night and very lively. Lots of music come out so many doors on those pedestrian streets.

Aloha, Sorry for your fail, but we also have St Brendan's Isle, and will be going thru the same thing but are now stuck on Oahu due to the virus. We want to buy a motorhome in Texas, and drive to Florida and become residents. And we plan to follow your prior route up the East Coast, that is if we can get thru the virus. We use traveling mailbox, Orlando location for our address, they are not cheap but can scan a letter if you need to see something immediately. We went to St Augustine all the time when we lived in our house about an hour away for 23 years. Larry

I lived in that same mailbox while we had our first sailboat of out the water for some repairs at Green Cove Springs, Marina. You could always sell the motor home and car and buy a sailboat, much cheaper lifestyle, no property taxes and the wind is free.....

We had reservations at Anastasia State Park in April and planned to tour St Augustine but the whole trip got cancelled due to the virus. Hopefully we can do it next spring. Thanks for giving us a preview.

not sure if you have done the florida residency video but do include cost of stuff.. ie.. registration of vehicles. cost of insurance for them etc.. everybody does a residency video with no cost.. that is a part of the deal as well.. justsayin.. thanks
