St. Francis Schools | MMSD Green Luminary® Award

St. Francis School District participated in MMSD's Fresh Coast Green Schoolyards Program resulting in green infrastructure projects at all three schools in the district: Willow Glen Primary School, Deer Creek Intermediate School, and St. Francis High School. The projects received funding from a combination of the District's Green Infrastructure Partnership Program and Green Solutions programs. Together, these green schoolyards can manage over 280,000 gallons of water each time it rains.
A Green Luminary® helps protect our rivers and Lake Michigan by adopting practices that harvest rainfall for other uses or mimic nature by draining it into the ground to reduce water pollution. To learn more: www.mmsd.com/w...
