*Tips for fellow players* It appears that the armor spawns randomly, so look for big fortifications to raid, for me every time a piece was obtainable I got it from the first big military outpost I went. You don't need necesserally to raid the places. Exit the boat before starting the raid, use stealth to wipe out the ememies ( the more you kill, the best ), and then use your horn to call the raid, its veeery easy that way Hope I helped, good hunting drengr

While I 100% agree that we need some more rugged armor sets, our detailed historical information on Vikings is so limited that it’s kind of pointless to criticize. It is a valid assumption that many Vikings would’ve adopted the stronger, more protective armor used by Anglo-Saxons once they began to settle lands there.

I just always kept on the base armour u get at the start and only upgrade it once cos that’s the most realistic armour for me. Everything else just looks too out of place and even when u upgrade the Raven clan armour it just looks too fantastical. What ever happened to the Ubisoft who took the cross bow out of ac1 because it would have been historically inaccurate. And now they have flaming swords and great eccentric armour sets ffs

I like to leave my Longship and defeat the enemies by myself, then start the raid loot the chests. The actual raid itself only lasts about 50 seconds this way.

The armor pieces and shield are somewhat radiant, being spread out amongst the named military posts (not the Small Camps) at random. The only item with a fixed location is the sword.

Exactly 100% right. I got ALL the gear pieces in the different places. These "how to easily get gear" videos are no help and just a vaste of time. The ONLY possible helping detail I noticed (may be it's nothing, but still) is that the camps that have gear are mostly piopulated by arbalists. So my best advise here (for anyone in the future who may find this comment) - jump ship, scout the camp alone, if it IS opulated by many arbalists, clean it out with a predator bow, then call your dumbsvikings and loot the chests.

i personally dual wield Excalibur and the Sword of Eden. those two paired together are op as hell since it causes the flash effect to actually damage EVERYTHING on the screen. it also takes a MASSIVE chunk of hp from bosses making any fight trivial.

I don’t know if you already knew, but i always see people use oil jars against those explodable walls, it’s way easier to use the ranged incendiary trap ability. And also use the hunter bow skill charged shot more, it deals an insane amount of damage to bosses and kills pretty much every regular soldier. Love your videos so keep it up man. 👍

set is okay.. it has a unique perk. perfect match with its sword and excalibur. I really like the sword (too bad it's still longsword not shortsword) and the perk. you really dont have to do a heavy hit.. you can just use light hit + critical damage (since its a heavysword hence anytype of hit is considered heavy hit) and the perk will activate then your enemies will knockdown unlike the blacksmith hammer.

For the heavily fortified bases with archers/ballistas you can dock your ship out of site of the enemy and get out of the ship on your own and take out all of these enemies. Then call in the raid for the crew to join you to take everyone else out and loot ;).

I'm not a fan of the raid gameplay, its not assassin enough for me, haha. However I did a few river raids last night, and was pleased that stealth is an option. I go in assassination style and collect what I can and then call in th me raid to finish up.

For Diva Victrix I went in alone and climbed up the side of the mountain to the castle then proceeded to assassinate my way down through the fort. I only called in my Jomsvikings in once I reached the beach and they managed to crush the resistance fairly easily because most of the archers were already dead. Granted I'm not on the hardest difficulty.

this set is actually not too bad while using a great sword like excalibur.

Its not good because Attack stat is capped at 30 bonus points above a weapons base value and the Adrenaline Fiend counts towards this (15 points with 4 adrenaline slots filled). This means almost any piece of gear that has more than 15 points of Attack to give is lost value in a lot of fights unless you're burning all Adrenaline points (which doubt most people do). No other stats is capped like this. Hell, Sinner Skull from the Helix store gives 40 points of Attack....yeah literally means 10 of those points are always worthless... They deal less damage than many other weapons yet are slower.

I’ve enjoyed it so far, agree it is quite repetitive. I have found though, at least the rank 1 Jomsviking are repeatedly getting destroyed at the larger settlements. I find I spend as much time trying to revive them as fighting. It has gotten to the point I am just going in solo and clearing large sections before the B team shows up. That seems to work well.

just a reminder the ragnar lothbrook quest is now avalabile and you get his dagger if you beat all the drengir. The location is east of jorvik and you get the pop up for the quest as soon as you start the game after the 1.1.2 patch. I did it before @jorrapror but i give him credit

I do have a question, I have not been doing the river raids all that much but I did do this one however I noticed today that the river severn says I am missing on weapon /gear item. In your video the river states 1 of 1 map clues then 2 of 2 weapon/gear items well mine says 2 of 3 and then like yours there is 1 of 1 book of knowledge. But why do I have 2 of 3 gear/weapons instead of 2 of 2. I redid the whole river and found nothing new

The Saint-Georges Armor is so respective. I like how they respected the desing of this guys who became one of the most prominent Military Saint of the Christianism venerated by ALOTS of culture and others religious people. Also that fact they add his colorishing clothes in White/Red Cross, it's nice to wear something very white entirely with a little ''post-templar'' design in futur. And no, I do not mention he was one xD. I was just sayin' that: He his the most commun Military Saint in Christianism ever had. This guy haved inspired every Military Templar Faction in Europe and his neighbor during the medieval era about what the meaning of being a Templar & being a Religious defender is. George of Lydda started as a member of the Praetorian Guard for Roman Emperor Diocletian, and later litteraly make his legend after his 1st time going in England (Bretain for his time period). Not only for the Dragon's Legend: They have stories sayin' that the dragon he killed in Euchaita to save the princess who was picked randomly for sacrifice to the ''Dragon'' was in reality a human being, just a simply leader of a mercenary group he encountered that the guy's name was translated by Snake or even Dragon. Others stories tell that he argue with the princess and then the Dragon emerge beside them, he finally strike back and give him a ''collar'' with the waistband of the princess to ''taming'' him XD. When he return back to the King in Euchaita, they we're 15 000 peoples who convert to Christianism after this events. Anyway the armor is sick. I just don't understand why they made Saint-George Shield in Black.. I mean, why not putting the Shield in White with the Red Cross like it is actually ? They never represent Saint-George with Black Cloath or even Black weapon XD.. Well on my game the Shield appear Black for no reason instead of white.

Here's a tip, stealth kill the long range enemies, find a tower or high spot. Then lead all the heavy hitting enemies to the top of the tower, and knock 'em off, peace.

Alfred, there are some small elements of randomness to it. Some maps feature more military outposts. If you don't find the piece at the outpost I mention make sure to raid the other military targets. We unfortunately couldn't account for randomness when making the video, but we did our best to still provide players with as much helpful information as possible!

My Jomsvikings does not "tear through" the river raids, in fact they keep dying by running alone into a group of enemies, one skirmiser can take out several vikings, they walk into fires they set themselves and die. After only 5 raids I´m really getting tired of my crew.

I absolutely sure it's easier to leave just one of them to take with you on the raid. They're only there for opening chests/doors so I'm not sure if you even can leave only one but agree, they are just a nuisance.

Jump out of your boat short of the camp, send Evior in solo stealthy and clear out the majority of the camps then summon your crew to finish the rest. Rinse and repeat and you'll be able to grab everything without losing a single Jomsviking
