For centuries, the Catholic Church *over-emphasized respect for authority;* even if that authority was a drunkard, a liar, or cheat. Hierarchy neglected to balance with teaching on *the duties and obligations of those in authority* to be just and benign. Too often, *those in authority abused their power;* both secular and religious. Nice to hear these priests add the point of earning respect.

I really liked this discussion. However, maybe a little more give and take between the two priests would be helpful. Fr. Voitus offers a unique perspective that is super interesting.
