I’ve stayed there every year for the past 12 years. The building you stayed in used to be a separate hotel years ago and the st Ives bought it . We used to stay there with 3 kids years ago and were put in one of those rooms. There mainly family rooms and single rooms in that area. The owners are very nice. When we go now as a couple we book a room overlooking the front. It has a massive balcony, room 18 . The rooms have been refurbished in the past couple of years,as has the reception area,restaurant and bar area. We usually have the evening meal too ,which is very nice. I think you should definitely go again and book one of the rooms with a balcony, there’s a few of them. Better all round. 👍🏼

Those rooms didn't look great for the money and when I have gone somewhere that has such a poor-looking breakfast I have made sure I get some kind of refund. Keep up the good videos.

We have stayed here a few times. Me and my wife havenever been allocated a room in the main hotel always in the annex as its referred too. Had same double room few times, andoncewas given a family room which was ok, but likeyou say its around the back, away from everything and not welcoming. Hotel itself looked nice and we neverhad a bad breakfast, but if breakfast wasnt included we just go overthe road to the toby

The hotel I would of said 2 out of ten. In the reviews cold breakfast I would of ask for some money back. To be honest with you the Hotel was at a poor standard Great video keep up up with the good work 😊

Constant complaining throughout, but only paid £60! Get most of that back through YT revenue anyway. I hope you made the hotel aware of issues, that - moving forwards; would help other customers.

I was employed as a waitress during the 70 s The Fern Lea fantastic hotel also Dalmeny and St Ives..Waitress service every meal. Standard gone right down Decor so dated

@@Randomanddesperate Steve strange how they couldn't put you at the main front hotel , those back rooms looked like they belonged to the hotel workers not the guests , I would be frightened walking back to my room at night , anything could happen, you could slip or fall and nobody would hear you , I definitely won't be staying at the hotel in Saint Anne's , but like you say it's all part of your adventure, where are you off to next ? 👍

The rooms looked OK but so bland. Could easily add some colour. Plus if yr gonna be put up in the detached rooms then why not either link them to the back of the hotel with bricks or make sure there's access to the back with a raincover of some kind. I wouldn't pay £60 or £70 for them rooms.

It's shocked us far I we know that part is were the staff accommodation was we have walk around tat way kids area sun lodges not changed we haven't been there for four yrs cause circumstance but inside hotel is great we stayed in lotsof different rooms sizes used sauna pool we are shocked u have been put in staff area sorry ramdon auntie Ethel

Have to agree with you regarding this hotel , it would have made me feel like that to , as you would feel not part of the hotel . It was more like staff rooms at the back. You should have complained , as it wasn't cheap . It put me off that hotel . X

Great Hotel. Good value for 3 night stay... food service entertainment fine..we stayed in annexe great room shower etc..Think this guy is a serial complainer..petty comments..he obviously lives in a top of the range mansion...😂
