One more week til silly season's over! September's the best month in Kernow I think, quieter, still pretty warm and you start getting those beautiful sunsets.

Guide to St Ives in school holidays. Hop on the super cool clifftop train journey from st erth. Have a bag of those banging chips from that place on the harbour, an ice cream and a crowd induced panic attack and leave again on the next available super cool train.

Giant pasty? Crikey, that's nothing. Im sure warrens makes bigger than that 😂 Top vid all around Love going St ives on a hot sunny day with the kids

I did chuckle to myself off camera at the size of the “giant” pasty!

Morning. When I first saw this video I thought the poor chap has finally lost his mind 😂 I used to work on the train station in st Ives and we dealt with thousands of people every day. Any pastie is better than a warrens mate 😂😂 and the prices are ridiculous down there, almost £8 for a pint in the sloop that’s ridiculous 😊
@theBriceSide3 ай бұрын
£8?? Goodness!

@@theBriceSide apparently so yes! Customers in our place the other night told me that was the price.

Many thanks for your advice. Where would you recommend to stay for a few nights to explore west Cornwall? we are a small family 3 adults driving from Edinburgh to Cornwall ! Thanks in advance.

If it’s specifically West Cornwall, then the Hayle area wouldn’t be a bad choice. It’s close to St. Ives, but probably cheaper than St. Ives. If it’s closer to the Land’s End peninsula, then probably the Penzance area would be relatively good. There’s loads of cottages, BnB’s and hotels around. My wife is an independent travel advisor if you want her to help (@shelley_j_travel on instagram or email her at Shelley.marie1986@yahoo.co.uk)

Thought you were in Florida! Used to visit St Ives, but then it got too manic. Leave the emmets to it. Hopefully, they’ll all self implode and us locals will have it back as it once was. I get the feeling nobody’s spending any money

It was mental, but to be fair, I have seen it worse. Apparently tourist numbers in Kernow are down this year.

Went a few years ago and didn't really get the hype.. WHATS WRONG WITH WARRENS???
@theBriceSide3 ай бұрын
Warrens??? Everything!!!
@NickPenlee3 ай бұрын
@@theBriceSide Actually, you say that; but back in the 1960's in Penzance, (even all of West Penwith), Warrens made some great pasties. Like everything else these days standards have obviously fallen! There was absolutely nothing wrong with Warrens back in the day! Home made was always the best of course.
@theBriceSide3 ай бұрын
@@NickPenleeYes, once upon a time they were fine. It’s a shame. Since closing their factory in St. Just, a third party makes all their pasties. Sad.

At some stage- a local would have sold to a non local ?
@theBriceSide2 ай бұрын
Yes, but as properties have naturally gone on the market, through whatever circumstance of sale, the locals cannot afford to buy because of the sharp rise in prices.
