My wife is now 80 years old and for a number of years she has been suffering from not having the ability to have a normal bowel movement. Not to sound gross but though she had the urge to go very little or nothing would come out and the attempt was very painful. Laxatives did very little. About two weeks ago her gastroenterologist prescribed a new medicine to be taken only for 14 days. For 11 days the new med did not do much good. On the 12 th day before I fell asleep I prayed to Saint John Bosco and I asked him to intercede on behalf to God for her to have a Normal bowel movement. In the morning when we worked up she stated the most amazing information. She had this crazy dream where she had to go to the bathroom during the night and had almost a near perfect bowl movement. She did not actually recall actually getting up to go. She checked the toilet and saw her results as the toilet was not flushed. While her memory is not as great as it used to be and whether St Bosco caused a miracle I get down on my knees to thank this amazing Saint whether miracle or not. Amen

This reminds me all to much of the first nightmare I had, before I understood what hell was I was shown a great multitude running and leaping into the fiery furnace, not being thrown into that furnace but choosing to leap in to it. If only they knew the horror that laid before them if they kept on going on the path they choose to run on.

I heard something said from a priest concerning the 3rd prophecy from Mother Mary on the Fatima thing, where he was saying if it had been revealed as the Lady had asked, many would have been flooding into churches, on their knees, repenting and giving themselves to Christ. The Warning is coming, when we meet with our Lord Jesus, and He will show us where we are headed.. and we need to pray, because some heading for hell will not make it through the Warning, and they will die. Our prayers now can possibly yank them back from the brink. What's heartbreaking, is Christ' mercy is almost done. Then Justice begins. And our house needs to be in order before that time.. and I've got a long ways to go. God, have mercy.

What is revealed to us in the Bible about the after-life is sufficient. Also, these accounts sometimes contradict the Bible and often contradict each other.

This is such a surface level understanding. God loves you enough that He gives you a choice. He doesn't force you to "love" Him, because true love cannot be forced. To reject God is to reject goodness, hell is the absence of goodness. Hell is the absence of God. It is freely chosen. This is hard to understand because God has given us so much goodness here on earth and we tend to take it for granted. We choose sin every day, we reject God every day -- in the end we will understand exactly what what it is that we were rejecting. Do you expect another person to tolerate you using them for all the good they offer, all the blessings they give you, just for you to betray them, and turn your back on them? Are they morally obligated accept this? Moreover, would it be loving of them to force you into a relationship with them? Why do you place a standard on God that you wouldn't place on another person despite God being so much more capable of love, and more forgiving of sin, than any person that has ever existed? The product of choosing to enter into a relationship with God is so much greater than the product of entering into a relationship with any human being, therefore the consequence of rejecting His love is so much greater than the consequence of rejecting another human being. You will understand when you see the choices that you have made -- which will occur during your judgement. Imagine meeting the most incredible woman, who is so loving and so firmly desires your good, she does everything she can to do what is right by you, and sacrifices her very self to show her love for you. Then you proceed to lie to her, cheat on her, abuse her, etc. Is it her fault for eventually saying "this isn't what you want, so I will let you go" even if it breaks her heart to do so? Should she find away to force you into appreciating her and loving her even if it means making you a robot without the ability to choose for yourself -- depriving you of what makes you human? Leaving her would be the worst thing you'd ever do, the absence of that love would be so painful, but you chose it through your own actions. Take that example and magnify it infinitely.

@@MrRezillo I think that you missed the whole point. Hell isn't an invention, it is the absence of God. I guess it really depends on who is defining what love is. You? You instead of an omniscient God? If you're presupposing God's existence in order to make your argument then at least presuppose the existence of the most likely God to exist -- an unlimited one. Our souls were created to be immortal. This scoffing that people partake in is the exact behaviour that will turn them away from God in the end. The behaviour that will cause them to choose Hell. Please believe that if you end up in Hell it's because you chose it, the same goes for me. You work your way towards that final decision every day as you mold your own heart and soul through your decisions. Don't be fooled into thinking that a man who has been proud all his life will suddenly find the humility he needs at death to accept his failings, and recognize all the opportunities he had to be better than he was. That pride, unchecked and cultivated over a lifetime, is embedded into his being. Again, I will use the example of the same woman I used before. If you abuse, and cheat on, and lie to her, is it right for her to destroy you because you won't choose to love and respect her and she knows that your decision to reject her will bring you harm? Or does that detract from the entire purpose of free will?

In the beginning God made Heavens and whole universe and called it “GOOD.” Satan and a third of angels caused hell’s existence after he rebelled against God and wanted to be “God”. Satan is a spirit and a spirit unlike flesh is not mortal. You and I are both body and spirit. So where will your spirit go if you died today? The body disintegrates but one can’t destroy spirit. The spiritual world is far superior to the material world which is limited in time and space. You think of hell as a physical place, whilst it’s more than that. Hell is eternal separation from God and those who’ll be there will have chosen hell out of their own free will. Peace 💟

My vision of hell was extremely cold, dark, and you are alone and constantly dredging through waist deep snow heading up a path searching endlessly for something that wasn't there, nor did I know what it was that I was looking for. Just endless walking through the heavy blizzard wandering forever...... And then I was shocked awake by the EMTs and I rolled over threw up blood and what tasted like charcoal all over my living room carpet. That was the first time. But the second time I did not throw up and was shocked back awake inside of an ambulance feeling as if I'd just been torn from a different reality. But was still brought from a similar place. I don't think this man really saw hell. I just think he had a bad dream.

I have heard of his vision in my study time at first and a female student found it very comic that a brand wound was left at his finger. And that some of his youth pupils were in danger of hell (if they would have died after a masturbation?). If self satisfaction is a sin (mortal?) in that age, what I doubt, then I ask me, which kind of sins are forgiven by the death of Jesus Christ. Noone will be judged by a normal judge on earth in a normal democratic state because of such things and all human rights I think will be respected by God (so that hell cannot or must not be a torture chamber). And why should God condamn souls for lower things than real crimes? So we must not believe in private revelations as catholics, only in the bible and the sane doctrine of the apostles and their good followers, compiled as good tradition by the Holy Spirit (also prophetic tradition) and so we must discuss, which saints have relevance to us still and how we shall define holiness. God is holy, but also our father and friend in Jesus, whom nothing human is strange. Imagine: A man does all the good things to his neighbour, Jesus speaks from in his judgement sermon, but makes one big mistake or sin after the catechism and dies in this sin, will he fall into hell therefore or beat his good deeds that sin? The hope and answer is that his heart has enough love in itself. We can argue with God like Abraham and put the sane human mind and reason into the field. Yes, o Lord, help and save us and give us answers to satisfy our sane mind and reason and correct us,too! Amen.

I am happy that I have no belief that includes torture of billions of people. My mother was a 1950s housewife, think June Cleaver or Harriet Nelson. She lived for her family, volunteering, helping people, a simple life that had little opportunity to do anything bad. Because she said she thought there was no afterlife, no God, Christians have told me she is burning in hell. Does God love her? What good does it do to torture her? This is just so sad. If she were a CHristian, she would not have had to change anything to be held up as a good Christian. The only thing she did wrong was to think that God didn't exist. I am glad I do not believe in a book that says pain of childbirth is punishment for something someone else did thousands of years ago, that it is okay to beat your slave as ling as they don't die in a few days, Abraham has to kill his son, Jews can just take a city and kill everyone in it, stone your kid to death if he is not well behaved, kill anyone who preaches a different religion, obey all national leaders (Hitler and Stalin?), so many bad ideas in the Bible. And I am to be tortured not because of my behavior, which is pretty much the same as a Christian in daily situations, but because it seems to me that religion is not real. That is supposed to make me love him, on penalty of torture?

I think you have one problem. If you don’t believe in a book about a God you think doesn’t exist, why do you use its moral standard to measure morality? You said your mother volunteered in the community and did good things but who told you that was good? Who told you beating a slave is bad, killing whole cities of people, stoning your kids for disobedience, killing people of a different religion and listening to Hitler and Stalin was bad? I mean if you don’t believe in God then isn’t that just your personal opinion? Maybe your view of being good just isn’t good enough, have you thought about that? Maybe you need grace, maybe you need mercy and maybe you need forgiveness. But how can you receive those things if you don’t believe in the God who supplies it? You see you and your mother can be good law abiding citizens with good intentions but humans are bent towards evil more than they are good, one sin against a Holy God is enough to send you out of his presence and without grace, mercy and forgiveness not one person will see the gates of heaven. If you don’t want to worship a God that will send someone to hell for not accepting his extraordinary plan of redemption then there’s nothing left to look forward too. God literally came in the form of his damned creation and died for them so that we can have a way to escape hell, a place that was created for Satan and his fellow angels. Would you die for someone who hated you and wanted nothing to do with you? Well God did and if that isn’t enough for you to give honor and praise and worship to him, then idk what to tell you, I guess you don’t operate in the realm of faith and you need more materialistic evidence but at what point will there be enough evidence?
