Hearing about the train in the story on the video was very interesting to me. Some years ago I was praying for a couple of deceased whom I was very fond of in life. After about 20 years I became sad to think they had gone into a void and might as well never have lived. I prayed if only God could let me know they were ok. Soon after that, I dreamed I was in a crowd on a platform at a railway station, and a train came in. The train was packed and as the people disembarked and headed joyfully along the platform past us waiting there, I spotted one person I was praying for. I heard a voice call "the persons name," and told them "Look who is here (Julia)" The person looked at me and acknowledged me, but he was so happy he immediately looked ahead in the direction they were going. I do believe God allowed me to see one of those souls being released from Purgatory, on his way to Heaven. I thank dear God to this day every time I recall that dream. It is possible those waiting on the platform were the people who prayed for the passengers that day. Praised be Jesus and Mary.

I’m not sure what to believe about purgatory alot of people say it doesn’t exist because it’s not mentioned in the Bible and others say it does and there’s a couple scriptures that say something that can be referred to as purgatory if you already know what it is but I’m not sure it exists Jesus died on the cross for our sins so some people think that’s not enough? From my understanding we don’t have to do anything except repent and turn away from sin

What i know is that i will be in purgatory, but only because God's mercy is so great. Where is purgatory in the Bible? Purgatory is saying Jesus’s sacrifice wasn’t sufficient. What was the point for Him to come here and die for our sins if we can just “pay off” our sin debt in purgatory? We can’t pay off that debt… only Jesus can and He did on the cross if we trust in Him and repent while we are still alive on earth. Read the Bible and you will not find purgatory in it.

@@ingridprior1337 just one? I'll do you one better. Please go look up C.S. Louis's defense of the doctrine of Purgatory. Even Baylor University (Baptist) theology dept. Is defending purgatory. Purgatory is the demonstration of God's mercy in light of His perfect holiness. This is why Paul admonishes believers to "work out your salvation with fear and trembling" if you simply pray one pray, "get saved" and are one and done you are trusting in a false gospel that literally has to cancel out Paul's writings....the inerrant word of God. You simply cannot say that "all scripture is God breathed and perfect for teaching and correcting" but then toss out every verse that doesn't fit your false doctrine. I am not a theologian, but C.S. Lewis is one that most Protestants will claim as their own. Please read all of his Biblical defenses of Purgatory.

From what you have said, brother, you expect to go to purgatory but from what St Therese of Liseux said was that you do not need to go there if you trust in the love of God. If you watch the video on this which is on YT she said this to a fellow nun who didn't believe her and the nun did go to purgatory and then realised she should have listened to St Therese because she could have gone straight to heaven. In other words if you expect to go to purgatory then you will and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Be warned my friend because if you think you will need 60 Masses said for you then you will. I am trying to understand my mother's pleading from Purgatory for her "4th catharsis," which, according to a Jewish friend of mine means "purgation" in the Jewish faith. I do understand her second visitation to my 12 year old son when she was in a glass globe room, sitting at a little brown table, wrapped in a "pink" shawl, sun pouring through the top of the globe. She thanked us for our prayers, "especially for your mother's prayers." My son said that she looked sad and that he felt that she was asking for more prayers. Alan Ames told me that she was asking for 7 consecutive Masses in order to be freed completely from Purgatory.

I used to be involved in New Age stuff, like Astral Projection/Out of Body travel. When I returned to the Catholic Church, I wanted to know if Purgatory was real. As 1 John 5:16-17 says, there is sin that is deadly and sin that is not. All sin is deadly and we all are sinners. Anyone who has not accepted Jesus Christ, because of sin, will spend eternity in hell, separation from God. But, anyone who has is written in the Lamb's book of life forever with our Lord. 1 John 5:16-17 is writing to Christians who sin after accepting Christ. Any sin that is not confessed remains to be purged by Jesus Christ. His justice demands it, and his mercy wills it. They are destined for heaven but go through purging. For as God says "NOTHING UNCLEAN WILL EVER ENTER" - Rev. 21:27. There is nothing more to "purgatory" than this. It certainly is not about an opportunity to "earn" heaven. Quite the opposite, rather heaven has already been earned for that person and for any who is willing to accept and believe in Jesus. Here is scripture for the same:  14 If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. 15 But if someone’s work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; THE PERSON WILL BE SAVED, BUT ONLY AS THROUGH FIRE. - 1 Cor 3:14-15  A person is only saved through Jesus Christ, so the foundation James is talking about is the cornerstone, the capstone, the foundation that is Jesus Christ himself. See, Luke 6:47-49; See also, Eph. 1:4; 2 Tim. 2:19.  We are set free from sin in Jesus Christ, but if we deny him by choosing "deadly" (moral) s in, any foundation we have is burned up, unless we repent and confess our sin to Jesus. Not all are completely purged when they die however so they will be before entering, yet others are destined for heaven and have already been purged by their death. But all those go to heaven. This does not apply to those destined hell. Maybe that clarifies. Maybe not. Anyway may God bless you and the God of peace keep you perfectly holy and whole in body, mind and soul until that day in Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Thes 5:23). I don't know, or more accurately, can't comprehend how one becomes a martyr while *IN* Purgatory. And, while I know and pray the Divine Mercy chaplet, the Rosary and go to Mass & the Eucharist, I don't think I can guage what amount of penance will atone for my sins. You've done a fantastic job alerting me to this need, for which I wasn't previously aware (I thought Confession & the few Penance prayers prescribed by the Priest was sufficient) but now have doubts it won't satisfy Dinner Justice. And lastly, how can I fully achieve the promise of Divine Mercy. What do I have to do?

I think to help make your soul more purified before you die so you don't stay in purgatory for too long would be to be charitable as much as possible too. Volunteer work for your local parish or local community that helps the poor. Even working with Elderly people or working with disabled people are all works of acts that helps you reach higher levels in purgatory so you won't have to stay too long. Godbless 🙏🙏🙏

so that's it we are all doomed to end up in purgatory as there are few if any, who can live to the impossible standards set for us as human beings. the fact that we are born human means that we are inherently flawed therefore, we could never achieve the perfect life demanded of us by god. hasn't anyone caught on to the fact that we are a busted flush from day one and that this whole concept of punishment doesn't add up somehow

Some punishment in purgatory are the same in Hell but the only consolation is that YOU WILL BE RELEASE AT CERTAIN TIME unlike in hell, a damned soul can never leave hell forever.

I also pray the Chaplet of Mercy, but I combine a contemplation of the mysteries of Jesus and Mary just as in the Rosary. These prayers are what will be said in the end days during the Apocalypse according to Jesus to St. Faustina. It has opened me up in many ways to the Father and the Son. For me it is a way of living the words of Samuel, as well as living out each of our callings as believers in Jesus Christ, who makes us each a priest, prophet and King/Queen according to sacred Scripture as indicated by Vatican II: "As for me, far be it from me to sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you and to teach you the good and right way." - 1 Samuel 12:23. "who has made us into a kingdom, priests for his God and Father" - Rev. 1:6 - as those who are also called, chosen and faithful (Rev. 17:14); "I will give the victor the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself first won the victory and sit with my Father on his throne." - Rev. 3:21; "Moreover, we possess the prophetic message that is altogether reliable." - 2 Peter 1:19; "Blessed is the one who reads aloud and blessed are those who listen to this prophetic message (Lit. - “the words of prophecy”)" - Rev 1:3.
