Great video of our day 9 and day 10, Andrew! There is so much information to draw from, yet you are able to distill it into an enjoyable, informative video. Thanks for documenting our journey!

I've padded Deep Creek in my canoe several times, putting in right there at S.R 207. It is fun to see it though your eyes. However Black Creek is in my soul, I spent my high school years living within 100 yards of the magic of Black Creek. 1979-1982.🤙🏽

I like how you guys make sure to avoid rough waters as much as possible. It's not worth it. It is much better to relax in a safe mooring inside your nice comfy houseboat.

My friend had a house on that island and grew up there. This is so cool to see. My brother also pulled up a Civil Warship anchor and it is in the Middleburg museum. Old stories say that there is a stolen sunken Confederate gold ship sunk somewhere.

I live near deep creek, surprised you didn’t see any big gators or snakes.
@oldhobo56102 ай бұрын
@@andyr4499 We came better attuned to their presence on the latter half of the trip (lots of 3 to 5ft ones basking on the sunny shore in the morning, for instance), but the only two big ones we saw were crossing the wide open St Johns one morning. And a medium sized one on Tick Island Crrek.

You should get yourself a trollmotor cam and you could see underwater obstacles

@@CanadasFoodieClub That would be cool to have in the springs but 95% of the St Johns is the colour of dark tea!

Ice run amazing the depth of those creeks I don't think we have anything comparable to those depths on the west coast creeks

Fish and wild life and sheriff’s are the worst for inconsiderate boaters. It really is amazing.
@oldhobo56106 күн бұрын
@@RobertRencoukas Based on a sample size of one I did not want to generalize, but ths summer on the Ottawa River I had a zodiac with 4 firefighters in full gear zipping around on a training exercise and I was amazed how close they would come at full throttle! Lack of self awareness in that case as well.

You should have a chainsaw onboard with you then you can clear obstacles
