It’s so beautiful to think that both Joseph and Mary were consecrated virgins, and that Joseph as a young man and wage earner would have promised his wealth to Mary to fund her religious life. And God would take these two pure, completely devoted souls and give them the purest of children through their consecrated virginity. Hail Joseph, Image of God the Father! Hail Mary full of grace!

I believe that Joseph is like the sanctuary of God, that’s why I always call him Holy of Holies. Mary the Immaculate Virgin belongs to Joseph, though always a virgin, her immaculate virginity belongs to Joseph too. Then how would Joseph not be the most holy of all, except Mary? He is even the head of his wife, Mary, and the Eternal Son, Jesus, Son of God, who is also Joseph’s son. Even God the Son is subject to him, how immensely holy must Joseph be!
