Cool vid and thx for the update on Tuco, we all miss his videos and I hope he is doing well. I’ve recently started a rescue mission: whenever I see “common” psych albums in the wild in clean VG+ condition (Jefferson Airplane, Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf etc.) I grab them, usually for around $10 as they are becoming increasingly rare these days. Finding them clean is also tough. I did find a grail this past weekend though: The Collectors first album for $20 very excited for that one 🔥🔥🔥

I need to get the Collectors first back in the collection. I parted with it for a few other reasons. Vanilla Fudge records are a challenge when it comes to clean copies.

Hey man. Congrats on The Nirvana acquisition. Super duper clean copy. I just picked up a reissue, since copies are scarce and expensive. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Great score. Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊

My copy of Nirvana is on Stone records and was originally owned by Bob Bryden, the unsung genius and founder of fantastic psych groups Reign Ghost, Christmas and Spirit Of Christmas. Cheers.

Just found an interview with Patrick Campbell-Lyons from 2018, where he mentions a Nirvana T.V. appearance with Salvador Dali on French T.V. in 1968. I'd love to find that, but I've just checked my normal sources with no luck.

I like the radio edit of In A Gadda Da Vida. I bought a clean copy of that Nirvana album. I haven’t really gotten into it. I heard Tuco found a pot of gold and retired. Someone just left a comment on my last video about putting my investments in better sleeves.

Some great finds Derek! I’m gonna have to hunt down that Crazy Elephant 45 for sure. Love that album but I know how Super K sometimes do those B-side mystery tracks. Man I love that Lost & Found LP! Not too awful long ago, my Cosmic Vinyl co-creator The Perch and I were listening to it and we both came to the conclusion that it’s great beer drinking music! LoL! Great score on The Nirvana record from TUCO! I had talked to him awhile back and he basically told me the same thing he told you about his absence from the VC. He also mentioned something about playing in a band. I should call him and see how he’s doing! Peace ✨✌️👽✨

I feel like Super K we’re pressed to put out a few tax scam 45s, because there are some quite obscure. B sides meant as filler because they only wanted the hits played! 😂 I’ll give Lost & Found a few more tries. Tuco is the man!

I have those first 2 cools 45s you mentioned - luckily I have a NM promo of the Iron Butterfly 45... Do not know the Don Robertson 45 (or, the LP) though. Didn't know White Eyes either but seems interesting... DO like The Lost And Found and DO have a NM OG copy of the Endle St. Cloud LP and the fantastic non-LP 45! ...The 2 Nirvana LPs on Bell Records (including "All Of Us") are very hard to find anymore - and even back when I was raiding the budget bins in the early 70's! Haven't seen either Bell LP since! Wish I still had my copies! Never saw any of the other Nirvana LPs they show on Discogs, though...

Yeah I believe it. I’m lucky I won a bid on All Of Us which is my fave.

I gotta pick up on more psych singles. I like that lost and found album. Its been a while since I heard it, but i'd love to find a copy. Nirvana is definitely pretty high on my wantlist. There was a copy for a decent price on ebay but I'd figured I'd hold off until I found one in person. Love that album cover!

These Bell pressings are real tough! I got lucky with both of mine.

Wow, at last, I seem to have a record you might like! Crazy Elephant on Major Minor.....

I use to have their LP on Bell, but the condition was pretty rough even for me. A little spotty, but has some catchy tunes.

Here, in the U.K at least, Nirvana are referred to as a "Toytown" psych band. Back around 1977-ish, we had an HMV shop open in town, and they had a huge £1 price section, where I grabbed a U.S. copy of Nirvana's "Simon..." LP, along with original Tangerine Zoo and S.A.Clock albums. The good ol' days! "All Of Us", Nirvana's second LP, is also pretty good. The only Nirvana footage I've ever come across is the Beat Club clip, and a 10 minute clip from Danish T.V., which includes an interview with Alex & Patrick. Yes, I forgot to mention the toytown style. I’ve actually watched that interview before. It’s a shame they never reached any higher success besides Rainbow Chaser.

@@PsycheDerek. Both Tiny Goddess and Pentecost Hotel were minor (Hot 100) hit's in the U.K. I thought you might've seen the Danish clip before, but I've never come across anything else.

Just wanted to let you know , that i recently scored quite a threesome thanks to your pointers! The Forum, in pristine condition; The Baroques- in og '67 mono! And finally the priciest of the trio: Creation of Sunshine! Reissue but still $$$.(Note : The Chess pressing in mono for the Baroques is in brilliant tansparent yellow! Something I though was unusual, but pretty cool. )
@rayhewitt97897 ай бұрын
ok, my bad, The Baroques album IS a RE on Sundazed. Duh. I thought the yellow vinyl was suspect! Good fake-out with the cover too!
@rayhewitt97897 ай бұрын
ha. typo no. 2: Creation of Sunlight.
@PsycheDerek.7 ай бұрын
I think I heard there’s supposedly going to be an official reissue finally for Creation Of Sunlight. It’s been long overdue, but it’s a delightful listen. Psych pop with fuzz guitars are my thing.
