Thank you for posting this. I've never heard of this before, but it really resonated with me when I listened. Life has its sorrows and joys. What would we do without the joys to wipe away the sorrows? The Biblical/religious citations w/this prayer give me hope that God will provide the joys with His Grace and Mercy.
