When my father died I asked St Joseph to adopt me... be my Foster Father for the duration of my time left while in this world.... Instantly, I do believe, his reaction "Why not .. I have all the time you need,.... few others are paying attention to me"... That was in 1994. St Joseph has been with me ever since. I do recommend everyone who's parents are now gone to beseech St Joseph to become your Foster Father... he will. He wants to. He's most faithful and will be with you until the last moment in this world.

Why would we need Joseph when we already have our heavenly father? Nowhere in the bible does it say that we are to solicit the help of the saints that have gone before us via prayers. My father was born on 14th of March 1911 and was named Patrick Joseph after saint Patrick whose feast is on the 17th of March and saint Joseph 19th of March and baptised on the 22 of March.

Common sense would dictate that if there would have been a more suitable candidate than St.Joseph for spouse of the Queen and foster father to our Lord and redeemer that man would have been chosen. I love his Brooklyn accent I love the pauses and inflections when making his point I attend an SSPX mass now because although my new priest can’t compare to Fr Fidelium. My Novus Order vat II novus priest was sad to say a believer in liberal theology No kneeling and receive the body and life of Our Savior Jesus Christ in your dirty little hands! I would recommend finding another parish that has a more traditional/Latin Rite. Sspx are not in communion with Rome and their mass would not be valid as a result. God bless

What is your source document for saying Joseph lived a sinless life, and why would it ever be assumed that Joseph would ever divorce. He was visited by angels when he married Mary. Very few people can say that.

Since we are born with original sin he was without original sin because he has higher consciousness of not doing sin to disprove the fate of one's life being destined to be a sinners. As He is the Foster Father of the Son of God know that He himself has the role of the grooming of Jesus Christ attitude towards men. If he had been a bad Father there is no Jesus Christ and Jerusalem will still keep sinning. We can be like Joseph in small ways nobody knows by taking care of our wife and son can led to a greater future of men. Masculinity with military prowess is not powerful than grace and gentleness but firm, devoted and strong to the will of God while living in temporary life in the world to experience the glory of God. Remember my word because my Father is like Joseph but He is Titus Diomedes.

All this time I understood that it was the original sin that made it impossible to enter heaven, and if St. Joseph was free from that, then he should go straight to heaven. No, Joseph and Mary gave the Name simultaneously. - THE MYSTICAL CITY OF GOD, VOL. 2, THE INCARNATION, Chapter on the circumcision and giving of the Holy Name. Mary thought St. Joseph should, and he thought the Blessed Mother should, therefore God moved them both to say it at the same time. These Volumes have the approbation of at least 6 popes.

Calling the Holy Spirit the Holy Ghost is alive and well in the more traditional communities to this very day. I even recall a bad hockey joke from the 1970s where, since the puck bounced off the post rather than going into the net, the punch line said "the father and the son and the goalie post". Great sermon, but I believe it says in THE MYSTICAL CITY OF GOD, that Jesus and Mary's bodies are the only bodies in heaven. Neither does the Church celebrate the Assumption of Joseph into heaven. Also, there is an old prophecy in the Church that St. Joseph's body will be discovered before the end of the world, and that it will be incorrupt. Just sharing my view.

Donna Anderson, a tidbit of Catholic info: We ask the Saints to pray for us because Christians believe the soul is eternal and they are very much alive in Christ in heaven cheering us on as we run the great race. We ask all things through the name of Jesus. I wouldn't say Joseph was "just" a man by any standard. He was chosen by God to protect mother Mary and help raise her baby, the Savior of the entire world! He was hardly "just" a guy in my humble opinion. God bless you my sibling in Christ.
