Oh thanks again Sinead for this video. You went to Ireland which I loved as I mentioned to you my mum's ancestors came from Ireland. Anyway, as an obsessive genealogist, I found through some research that some of my ancestors (who came from Kent, Devon and also East End London, left England via St Katherine Dock. When I visited England in 2008 a friend who lived in London drove me to St Katherine dock one evening, which was magical to see it all lit up. I love you have done this video about it, and the information and history you always provide. I just love your videos, esp the London cemetery ones, where I also have many ancestors buried, and once again your amazing knowledge of all these places....love you heaps....Vicki in South Australia

Watching again 🥰 Seeing Gloriana reminds me of The Queen's diamond jubilee in 2012. Cold, damp, gloomy day it was and yet how they braved it. I remember Prince Philip being taken to hospital after that event. He must have stood there for too long keeping himself together. The things they did for duty and service to their country. xx

My dad had used to have his boat here in the early days of the marina! I do not know if you know this, but during the Napoleonic wars, the pow's were kept underground at the docks where you are walking after you go past the Ivory House! The other thing I forgot to mention was that the dickens pub as it was known as! Was physically moved from where it was in one piece to the present place you see it now! I just got to the end and I saw a Thames Barge that was there in my days and We all got to know the skipper who had been on that Tb since the age of16! He was one heck of a caricature

Idea: How about a tour two famous London film locations. First the Paddington Bear movies filming locations- - -including the Steam Train used in the second movie. Second the location for the music video "Karma Chameleon" by Boy George. It was filmed around Desborough Island in Weybridge and the boat in the video was a Thames tour boat named the New Southern Belle. Funny thing, I thought the video was shot in Mississippi on the Mississippi River. Sinead, this was another work of art, you are the best. My wallet is at home, so I'll get the usual cup of coffee tomorrow. Thanks again for all the walking you do for us.....
