You missed on your break down on st Lawarnce from the Ogdensburg bridge to Goose Island on US side Great. I fished it this year (Spawn was hot) . 200 + LBS in six days fishing.

We sure have it "Easy" these days learning a fishery from a cyber perspective. Back in the non-cyber era of fishing.......lol, pros would charter a small airplane and "Fly" the fishery looking for the "Juice". I look forward to the time when Google Earth will be an option or standard on "Today's Fishfinders". I dont fish derbies but i do enjoy the techy side of todays fishing. Winter time I'll have 2 laptops fired up, one with Navioncs the other with Google Earth looking for "The Juice" for the upcoming season. Enjoying your vids, wear em out at LaCrosse.... Maybe you and Matt will share the stage on the final day..... WHOA!!!!

What map pack were you using to get that amount of detail?

I don't have the level of detail for depth contours on my navionics chart for the st. lawrence river. I have an HDS Gen 2 with a hotmaps card. Can I make adjustments to my settings or update my card to get the depth contours that you have?

Good info. I’m going to Alexandria Bay Area but a little nervous because it’s my first time fishing on the St. Lawrence River.I have a Tracker Tx17 tournament boat with a 60 hp I hope my boat can handle it.

I saw many people out with even smaller boats. It is a very large river system, with plenty of places to stay out of the most congested areas. As long as you stay out of the heavily trafficked areas (such as the American Narrows) you should be fine. Just take it slow, be aware of the boat traffic, and only take on what you believe you and your boat can handle safely.

How did you make out? I know this is late but my son and I did the same area in a 16' Alumicraft with a 25hp outboard. In 4 days we put 110 miles combined outboard and trolling motor. Out at sunrise and made the longer runs and same at evening and the water was great. We had a great experience and will be returning this year with our new rig.
