We just got back from NOLA over Christmas and took the St. Louis Cemetery #3 tour with Daniel. It was one of the most fun and amazing experiences I have ever had. Daniel is great with a crowd and you can really tell he loves his job which makes the experience really fun for all involved. Time very, very well spent. Absolutely recommend.

I captured the most amazing , unexpected photo of a spirit family hiding at this cemetery in Sep. 2019. We weren't allowed to enter with this particular tour group so I just took random pics standing at the gate of the entrance and reviewed them when I returned home and was completely dumbfounded. Its shows an african american women and child crouched against a wall of a masoleum with a man and what almost looks like a spirit child floating. The man was in a protective stance and they all looked so scared, still in the afterlife. So sad... My mind was blown ! I love New Orleans more than a fat kid loves cake! Thanks for the great video.

My family tomb is in this cemetery. Luckily, we haven't needed to use it since the early 90's . My paternal grandfather's Aunt was the first to be interred there in the mid 60"s at the ripe age of 104.

Former NOLA resident here. I really, really, love your videos. The photography and commentary are just spectacular, and bring me home every time. One thing: where else do tourists visit cemeteries? Paris - they're remarkably like NOLA's. And everywhere the Spanish colonized, the cemetery style and tomb reuse is similar. I live in Cuenca, Ecuador (the French (Spanish Quarter) of South America LOL - another big ol' rectangle) and the cemetery is the same here too. So something you could mention is that NOLA inherited the European style of burial with virtually no change. And of course as you say many times, the method adapted perfectly to the area's conditions. So it's another thing that makes NOLA cemeteries unique in North America - but they're just like their European forbears.

Could be. I went back and looked and I think in the Season 1 intro one of the photographs that flashes briefly might have been an EJ Belocq but I'm not certain. It's toward the very end of the video of a woman on a couch. - Daniel
