Warning: Spoilers Ahead- lots of them. This was my favorite pokemon match to watch of all time, at least in draft league format. What a game. He had such an interesting team and he executed his gameplan to near perfection, utilizing screens to allow his setup mons to tear holes through your team. Your team had the tools to deal with it, but only if you played perfectly. Nasty Plot Coffagrigus did work, allowing you to clear out Quag and make way for ur offense. Then the 3v3 endgame with Venus, Heracross, and Delphox vs Infernape, Cress, and Haxorus was absurdly intense. You managed to take down Cress while keeping Venusaur at enough health to get off key damage on Cress by sacking Heracross at the perfect time. Then it was all up to Delphox to try and take down the final two mons through the light screen, with the final turn coming down to a really close damage roll. Very little hax in this game, just good competitive pokemon. Congrats on the win! I'm happy for you that you got it, and hopefully this reinvigorates you and inspires you to make a run all the way to the championship!

Great effort Dan! Would have been really easy to wilt under the pressure of all those set-up sweepers, but if anything your moves got better as the game went along. Sacking off Heracross at the end was the kind of level-headed play you need to win tight games like this one. Would potentially have been worthwhile prioritizing rocks as soon as you found out Cress was dual screens, since obviously lots of switches are incoming, but tough to do so in the face of all that offensive pressure.

Dan, great game and your end game strategy was on point. This is a perfect example of why every time a cresselia in on the opposing team taunt is a NEEDED move. You still won and props to you but based on his stall-ish team, taunt would've made this game much easier on you. GG guys

Man that was a heck of a battle! Best of luck to the both of you in the coming weeks. As for your QOTD, that's a tough one to say. I think you've got a good team with a lot going for it, but the league format seems to be working against it somewhat. It's a lot harder to pull off the Tyranitar and Sand Rush Excadrill combo in particular when you opponent can see it coming and can plan for it in advance. Things like missing high accuracy moves and hax have been a factor as well, but that's Pokemon. I think you've also had to face a lot of the league's top contenders right off the bat too, so I think we'll start seeing a comeback in the coming weeks.

Yea you can win the rest of the games this season and end up with a 12-3 record and I feel like you and Nappy would be tied record wise, but since you beat him week 1 you'd get the tiebreaker. I could see the playoffs being Joey vs Miguel and you vs GameboyLuke. So you and Joey in the finals again as long as aDrill doesn't miss a Rock Slide :D After match analysis: Wow what a narrow victory for the winner of the match. As for some of the pokemon, a defensive Excadrill that is something you don't see everyday. Stallstein lived up to its name again this week with stalling through double screens. Harry is a lucky wizard. I'm glad last week's match against Christian helped with you bringing roar for setup mons. Anyway gg to both Patterrz and aDrive both played exceptionally well and the battle could have went either way.

He has Clefable Victini Terrakion, Shaymin and Mega Toise along with krook for his OU and UU picks, for his RU and NU he has skunktank Sigilyph Registeel Zebstrika, Newly Acquired Leafeon and Druddgion. That is what he has. He is an amazing battler and only reason he did not do well last season was personal issue. Like i said luke is one of my favorite coaches but i do not see him as a 3rd seed if Dan slides in over Nappy. Any other reason why you think Luke makes it?
