Thanks for your reply. Just for the record: I have always associated St Lucia as being made up as a band( if you look back at their albums and many past videos). However, you are correct that officially the music history books have them down as being made up of the brilliant and sonic magician that we call Jean-Philip Grober. Please calm down: in my personal opinion I get vibes from their classic debut album in this tune. That is my opinion. If you disagree then that is fine. Thankyou.

I listened to this song three times to understand what it all means. For starters, I must say that St. Lucia's deep musicality is impressive, especially at a time when technology has removed the human touch. The chords, progressions, harmonies, diatonic scales, and a very, very legato sounding tetrachord are technically awesome! If I am mistaken, please let me know. It seems like the vocals on Utopia I have taken a backseat to the musical composition itself. This is a key difference from Hyperion, where the vocals were the star, and the musical direction was more cinematic. It was the closest thing to St. Lucia going to Hollywood. BTW, Hyperion is the name of a coastal redwood tree in California (the tallest living tree in the world), in the sequoia family. AL is anthemic in true St. Lucia fashion. But this time they are taking the listener on a guided musical meditation during an acid trip (look for the fly agaric mushrooms 🍄 throughout the video). I have never used acid, but that was my observation. Cassiopeia is the the main theme in the video. She is the mother of Andromeda, which means ruler of men in ancient Greek. When Cassiopeia declared her daughter the fairest of the sea nymphs, Poseidon became angry and sent floods and sea monsters to destroy Ethiopia, which means burnt face in ancient Greek. Back then, Ethiopia was considered a region in the Kingdom of Kush (ancient Nubia), which is modern day northern Sudan. Some theorize that Andromeda had ties to Palestine, but I digress. It is implied that Perseus was 'white.' Ovid provided a more sensuous and romantic take on how white suits darker skinned females. But when she and King Cepheus offered up Andromeda as a sacrifice, Perseus came and rescued and eventually married her. Apparently, the Andromeda galaxy is cannibalistic as it eats up its kin constellations. Didn't mean to deviate from the musical review itself, but without mentioning this tidbit, Cassiopeia may have fallen to a hipster mental cloud water in their imagination. Like it looks cool, groovy, and galactic; but not taken as seriously as it should... Just curious what Cassiopeia actually looked like. The low-key South African ambiance that I've seen in their Instagram fits well with this stream of creation musical theme from another part of Africa. 😍😎❤️💜💙❤️💙💜
