St Sylvester’s college eastern cadet band is sri lanka’s first and the oldest oriantal and cadet band. Having a 65 years of proud history,sylvestrians are the eastern cadet band with the most number of all island campionship (“30 wins”) which is more than the number of campionships all the other bands have in combined… they are also the first band ever to use the diamond mace and the brass bass drum and the first band to ever enter the headquarters of the srilanka national cadet corps in rantabe
