I would give anything to join the community at St. Vincent’s but the church forbids it. Because of my same sex attraction. I live in Pittsburgh. So it’s only a few hours drive for me. Maybe I’ll drive over there one day. The problem with that is. It might break my heart to have to leave them. Oh well I can always dream. I just hope all of the brothers at St Vincent’s Abbey. Know how truly blessed they are. To be called by our lord. To join a monastic cloistered community. I will keep all of you in my prayers. God bless you.

I don't know if or how much Latin they use at St Emma's. When I was there on retreat, most of the nuns spoke German, but I believe most of those dear ladies have gone home to Jesus. I used the word "nun":. I'm not sure if they are nuns or sisters. I don't think they are cloistered...but I'm not sure......
