I’ve St170 subframe, coilovers, hubs, with connect five stud flange on my connect ,,st170 rears don’t bolt up you’ll need to redrill the beam or get the connect disc rear set up,,,as for seats st180 bolt up at the front but need to mod the rear dead easy use connect drivers rear seat mounts x2 one set drivers side one set passenger side

I've got a black 2 door ST170 sat there. After seeing Mike's I was thinking of turboing mine. After pricing up all the parts and weighing it against the ball ache of doing it outside. I ended up buying a MK1 SEAT Leon Cupra lol. Well looking forward to the build Grant.

Hi Grant,this going to be an interesting project.Going back a few years about 2003 ford sent us a new connect van fitted with a 2.0 ltr petrol engine a zetec if i remember correctly we had it for about 6 mths,what a machine.Would hit 130 mph on the clock on a private road of course.

Oooooooooh you making me feel ill re the 170 Grant, you said the.............S Word!!!! Feeling queasy as you taking parts off Ford's greatest car (not that particular model) from the late 90s to the mid noughties. My own Mk1 ones wheels are shuddering, and "Freddie" (the focus) is crying a bit about your plans on my driveway now . I'm not, going to cry too much myself but I may need to look away some of time if you are rough with it, etc etc, be kind to it, and "Yorkshire flat cap" dave 🙏. Great idea re the connect mind, not too far from my motor show recollections, the eng has cosworth fettling in it a heavy duty gbox and is a great handler. I had the pleasure of driving a brand new fully loaded black 53 plate St,, it was lovely, but not as accelerative round town and up to 70 or 80 than my own beloved tdci. I do however think apart from my dream car, the RS, my own favourite is the Zetec 2.0 ESP which I also drove in 2003, and was much quicker than the more powerful 170. I will forgive you re the Foci, however you must promise me you'll do a Mk1 focus up at a later date please to make amends for your butchery with some interesting modifications, I've always admired the Harris Mk1 Scorts, perhaps some sort of stripped down 3 Dr Foci etc might be a future idea. Sorry for the negativity, at least we will have room to go for a ride in a connect, we'll just look like a pair of burly builders!! 😆😂 As ever be careful, I look forward to the next one. Early ones had chain, which go on and on. Later ones are wet belt. Yours was a wet belt and the wet belt has snapped. You rarely have to change the chains

Wasn't the chains on earlier ones and later ones had wet belt to bring emissions down and vibration I had a 59 plate wet belt and my 11 plate is wet belt
