May I know y most i c in net when they use loud the items in the area of stair they just scape to draw the stairs just focus on the beams and scap the rest of structural of the staircase??????

Question Sir, for the wall loads, aren't you supposed to multiply it by its thickness rather than its height to get the line load for walls?

Good day sir, I have a question regarding the reference load used in the seismic definition at 1:10:42 Why was live load not incorporated into the seismic definition? Is it always dead load only?

Roof deck LL is only half of residential LL which is 0.95 kpa or 1kpa not the 2.9kpa.

sir engr. oscar here.. I have a question.. For the Ceiling Load, is it necessary to add a mechanical ducting load while for the earthquake loading, how did you solve for the entire weight of the building for the distribution of the designed base shear. For the foundation size and depth, how do you compute for maximum depth for a two-storey or up building considering there is no soil analysis in a particular location?

Hello engr. 1. Since mechanical ducting is a permanent load, it is logical to include it in the dead load (superimposed) to be part of the computation in seismic load. 2. STAAD will automatically compute for the total weight that is included in the Seismic Load parameters. 3. Sir I do not know how to compute for the max depth if there are no soil analysis done in a site. As the depth will depend on the findings of the Geotechnical Engineers. :)

@@deanzanoCE sir what if I got 450by450mm column dimensions from staad analysis but when i used the excel based computations I got smaller dimensions 350by350mm as passing result ,which one should i use.

@deanzanoCE sir pag na convert mo na po sa pressure load. How will you apply the load in staad? And also is it necessary to add it to computation or idisregard nlng ung mga partition wall at assume nlng kunware nasa beam sila nakapatong? Pls enlighten me sir thank you

Hi ,why u didnt put LL for beams of staircase,???? I believe those beams had no DL since no any breaks above them ,?

hello sir @DeanZanoCE i am happy to search your videos and i am learning on it. I tried to make my own job using staad for 4 storey building but there is one error in analysis which says that " No Reference Load case of type Mass/Gravity/Dead/Live is defined for mass modeling". what does it mean sir? i tried to review it but i dont know how to correct it.

Hello! Make sure that your reference load is defined as a "dead load". 😊

Engr. Baka alam nyo po paano solution nito sa pagadd ng group sa floor load (either sa liveload or sa reference load definitions), ay hindi nya inaassign lahat ng beams ng nasa group kapag nagadd ako or in short hindi sya tugma. Pero tama naman yung paggawa ko ng group. Example: yung group na nagawa for 2way is nakaassign sa beam 1-12, pero kapag inadd as group na sa live load ay yung naassign lang is beam 1-4.

It is either hindi nag close yung beams na napili (Like baka may naisingit na node sa group of beams na hindi mo pansin). Or baka hindi po sila magka level (sa Y coordinate. Baka namili ka po ng beams under 1 group na nasa magkaibang floors).
