You can say what you want about Adobe, but in my opinion Stability AI's licensing is worse. Not only does it require you to destroy the models you make after you stop paying but they also foist all of the legal responsibility onto the users. Whereas if you noticed, paying for an Adobe subscription and using their AI service they have said that they would protect your rights over any work you produced using their software in a court of law. Quite a juxtaposition. In SAI's case you pay simply to give away your rights and take on additional responsibilities. in Adobes case you are at least paying for a service.

That's basically what I've been saying. I downloaded the models from CivitAI before they banned SD3, so I never clicked the agree button on the HuggingFace page. As far as I'm concerned I never agreed to their licensing terms, so I will disregard them.

SD3 is free, it's the commercial license that's screwing everybody over. Wasn't Cascade more of an experimental model, as in, not meant for normal, regular use? Something that was never going to go anywhere beyond what it was. I seem to recall hearing something similar, not sure.

This is a disingenuous take. People are paying for Civit, online generation service that uses SD, or even model fine-tuners through Patreon etc. I had $5/mo early day supporter tier and moved on to $50/mo gold membership on Civit as soon as it became available and am very happy with it. For SAI, first they solely focused on enterprise usage and didn’t even try to attract avg consumer - before $20/mo SD3 commercial license, there’s little way to pay for SAI even you wanted to. As for SD3, even if it’s not garbage at generating anatomy, the vague license renders it bad product at best, liability at worst.
