I am still as surprised as ever by the fantastic results you can achieve with your personal dreambooth model in comic book mode. Personally, I am unable to achieve a good result, even though it works with other models. In any case, congratulations on your very informative and well-made videos! Wow thank you kindly @Hatuey! I really appreciate it! Actually comic diffusion is not a favorite. But I‘be merged it with my own model. As I say in my newest video - it’s not good with normal comics - only superhero stuff.

@@LevendeStreg Thank you for your response. I also found it strange that I only had a problem with comic diffusion (and also Eldreth imagination in some cases). Do you happen to know an interesting model for comics? I am also looking for a model for pulp fiction

@@hatuey6326 so far I’m getting the best results with the normal pruned model 1.5 for comics. And then I add “by” xxx (my favorite inkers). Also in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnymfIB7eNOHgdE I use a great model for anime. It’s called RPG. As I mentioned I’ll start training and merging models with my sketch-style and see if that brings me closer to what I want. I’ll share my knowledge as best as I can.

I tried invokeAI but other than the nicer UI I find automatic1111 is just better. The installation of invokeAI on windows was a nightmare too. the windows installer did not work and i had to manually install it. Automatic1111 has out-painting and in-painting too. And the development of automatic1111 is going fast. Every day you get a update and ever 2-3 days new features are added.

I agree that Automatic1111 is better @Todestelzer - I prefer to work in that too! I’ve got Invoke on my computer and on my Cloud Service - but hardly ever use it. I do like the outpainting - but I find that DALL-E works way better for me for that!

By the way, you can use Invoke on RunDiffusion and on Runpod too. And there it works far better than the local install. I'm getting good results when doing inpainting with it! And to think that I actually considered dropping Invoke altogether (because it was so slow on my own computer). If you use this link to RunDIffusion, you get 15% off when signing up for creator's club (if you decide on signing up). You can just pay for server time there, too - without signing up.

@@LevendeStreg Speaking of speed, I believe this will improve at least for some Mac users in a little while. Apparently Apple released some "CoreML" code update that as will improve speeds a lot at least for Apple Silicon M1/M2 users. I don't believe that has been integrated yet in Invoke or Diffusion Bee since around Dec 1 when it was released to developers. By the way, what do you think of Diffusion Bee? It's far easier to install but the interface seems to be highly limited in some ways (like the prompt windows are tiny and it seems to limit the prompt length so some number I don't know which is shorter than other services. The Mac app hasn't been updated in at least 2 months also.)

@@razoraz thank you kindly for sharing your knowledge. I really appreciate it. I’ve found that for me RunDiffusion works really well for both SD and Invoke. It’s very reliable- and I need that for my work and my videos. I now have a partnership with RunDiffusion. Just so you know (and if you think I’m biased☺️). So far I’ve not found a better solution as Google Colab keeps breaking.

I'm glad I have a PC ... it was a whole lot easier to install InvokeAI 😁 My biggest issue (well there are a few) but I use Styles a lot in Automatic1111 to quickly change the look and feel of an image in a consistent manner. And InvokeAI doesn't have that yet. But they are constantly updating things (like adding models easier) so I try to keep an eye on it.

Thank you @BigAl. And yes PC is way easier! Invoke is great in some ways. It’s way easier and faster to load. But I ageee - I use styles too. And it’s missing in Invoke. But I’m guessing it will be added soon…

@@LevendeStreg I spoke with Mac tech who said with an M1 chip I shouldn’t need homebrew. I see a lot of people getting their Mac messed up when they install homebrew. I guess I’ll wait to get a backup computer 🖥️ thanks again. Continued success. It’s a pleasure to see an artist teaching how to ai videos

Thank you so much for a the video!! one question, i seen in other videos, on the img2img/ inpaint tab, there is an option called "inpaint at full resolution" but i can't find it on mine,(is it on yours?) please help!!!

Yup in A1111 it's there. It's for inpainting in full resolution and then scaling down to fit the image. Haven't noticed if it's in Invoke. I'll check it out next time I use Invoke and get back to you on that one. Thanks for reaching out🙌

With the video and the help of the commenters here I was able to get it installed and working! But, I have a very embarrassing question now. After closing it all down, can someone share the steps I would take to get it going again?

Hahahaha. That’s a great question. Open up terminal: 1. Type: cd stable-diffusion-webui - hit return. 2. Type: git pull (if you need to load models) - hit return. 3. Type: ./webui.sh - hit return!

Sorry. My answers was how to start the local stable diffusion. Invoke is different. First open up terminal, and then you type: /Applications/invokeai/invoke.sh and hit return.

The image to image for Invoke doesn't work very well for me. No matter what weight I give the image or text I use with it, I either get the same image or something not relevant.

Thank you for your comment. Haven’t worked so much with img2img in invoke. So I can’t guide you very much. Generally img2img is hard to control. So tweak the slider to set how much SD should stick close to the image.

A1111 is really, really buggy, though.. The sketch tool used for both sketching, inpainting, inpaint sketch, etc. is so broken. You paint, and hit undo, and it half the time deletes it internally, but not visually, so then you have to start over. Or you hit "Send to inpaint sketch" and it'll either just show "ERROR" or the image is zoomed in 400% and out of view so you can't paint on it.. I constantly have to reload the UI to work with it. And I'm experiencing degradation over time. After a few hours of work, images generate at like half the speed until I restart the server.

Hahaha MulleDK, you’re absolutely right. There a so many bugs all the time. The new update seems ok, but now dreambooth is broken. And there’s still no fix for Mac🤯

@@LevendeStreg Unfortunately, Dreambooth never worked for me in A1111. And the one time I toyed with textual inversion, my images came out like extreme 3d animated looking caricatures lol.

I did… I had python 3.10.6 installed… then installed 3.11… (as the manual says “3.10 or higher”) but it only worked when I installed 3.10.9… strange, but hey, maybe this could help someone in the same situation as me. Thanks for the great video!

@@shootasia somehow your version wants Python 3.11 - have you installed that? And did you install homebrew / Xcode?
