⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🙂I love how Joshua Redman also performs saxophone for the hearing impaired!

when mark solos his style is like so wide.... sounds more like a piano or guitar is soloing with a saxophone timbre... LOVE IT...then readman's motif based solo style is simple, complex, and refreshing!! i need the whole concert

That was one of the most beautiful renditions of that tune I've ever heard. That ending. The freedom and the support they all gave each other to be able to end a tune that way. Man, that's beautiful.

Rossy is a brilliant drummer and a limited vibraphonist.
@sisterg7332 ай бұрын
I agree with you in part, I'm definitely a very limited vibraphonist, but I'm also a very limited drummer! I actually don't even care about being a drummer or a vibraphonist at all... I just want to bring tunes to life, immerse myself in songs and share the experience with the audience... it works in different ways with vibes and drums. In this moment what was happening is that Mark and Josh got to play together for the first time in many years. They used to play together all the time in 1990, and 1991, in fact, the three of us where roommates for our first year in NY. The moment captured on this video was a good occasion for me to play a very short relaxed solo and get out of the way in order to to let this 2 wonderful musicians have their space for an in depth musical conversation. If you are curious of how I tell a story on vibes, there are other recordings or videos you can check out... this is one of them from a few years ago kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZrUn3ylncSql5I enjoy! and thanks for your honesty!
