We SCORED All-Time Italy With Leonardo Fioravanti 🤌

In early November, mainland Italy received a bing-bang-boom run of swell. We heard the term "best-ever" thrown around more times than we could count.
With some help from K-Way, we pulled a strike mission with Leo Fioravanti and Roby D'Amico.
It was a trip we'll never forget.

A long time ago, I worked in La Spezia for a few months. I saw a few swells roll in, rarely lasted more than half a day and wind was not perfect, but there was a point wave right in the middle of the town I stayed in, Lerici, that looked like it had promise. Good flick.

I've been surfing in Italia many times. Varazze and Levanto are really good waves. We were surfing in Italia 30 years ago and people were laughing at our italian surf trips. Now... it's different.

I thought for sure this was filmed in northwestern Sardinia. I had no idea that there were such good waves in Liguria! You named one spot in the San Remo area and the other on the Santa Margarita side of the Liguorian region. I can't imagine any better place to live than this part of Italy. I was shocked at the beauty the first time I went along the coast here in 1996. And that comment is from someone born and raised in Laguna Beach, California.

Meh, i was surfing since the end of the 80's and there were already a big surf community especially in Tuscany, Latium and Liguria honestly. Yeah many (not surfer) people thought there were no waves but that's another matter. In Tuscany Americans of the Camp Darby base were surfing since 60's with few locals.
