Every surfer need to have a twin fin in their quiver.. Great up to 6-7' surf. If you like skate boarding - quick pocket turns and fast. The difference with thrusters, thrusters are very stable in bigger waves. Though stable, I've always felt it sacrifices speed on the trim. Mushy waves, you will definitely be pumping more to stay in the wave. It's mind blowing, you'll wonder why you never tried it sooner.

Quads are awesome as well. I lived in SD for 10yrs had to switch to quads and twin fins. Moved back to Hawai'i and ride twins and quads 90% of the time. Being older twin fins help on all around ease of it letting the board flow with minimum effort.

Mark Richards road a twin fun in 79 but he didn’t develope them . We were riding them in 72-73. They were great on a fish shape, short board.i rode 6’0”- 6’10” concave decks that ripped. Willie Hobson shapes them for me and the wursters

You can surf a twinfin two ways, force your thruster muscle memory against it trying to make it surf like always do and then say you hate twin fins, or let it work/flow how it wants to and learn something new.

i’ve went to a 5’10 Rastovich copy w hexFibre progressive keels, not exactly a reg fin n not an outright keel...a bit more hold than an Aipa twin fin shape but more performance oriented than a retro wooden keel...drivey enough for full on off the lips 12 o’clock on the dot

@Brian Clauzel There are controls on some interfaces that are permanently on screen and they block the wording when you press ‘pause’. It’s ok though, I took screen shots. Maybe just a bit easier for viewers when editing future videos to make it longer.
