Great review with very useful feedback. With the TLR-7 HL-X, try installing the little c-clip on the threaded side of the screw. Your HL-X should have come with 2 c-clips in the packaging. One is a spare. The c-clip is intended to keep the screw from walking out.

Damn that dlc coating looks great for 2k. I've been thinking about going for the new C. I have a WC edc x9 with about 700 some rounds, and the wear on the armor tuff finish in black is nowhere near as durable as the dlc coating on your C.

I’m pretty pleased with how things have held up. I don’t have experience with Wilson Combat guns, but I couldn’t be happier with the Staccato. I typically double up on my pistols, so thinking about another C if they eventually offer a factory comp.

I have an RmR-HD available. Should I buy this gun? I traded my C2 for the DWX compact (love it). But I miss the staccato so much I want to get another one.

I've also got the '24 C with DLC barrel and SCS carry green dot. Similar experience here: 1500rds of 124gr S&B FMJ, 200rds of Staccato 124gr range ammo, 100 rds of 124gr Federal HST +P hollow points, 100rds of 115 gr blazer. Zero failures of any kind. I didn't love the Tenicor holster (prefer a pillow wedge and no positive click even though retention was fine) so I ended up going with one from LAS concealment and it's perfect. Overall I'm really happy with this as a CCW! Might go with one of Staccato's extra power firing pin springs when I replace the one it came with, just because I appendix carry and just want that extra confidence. Might also fit an extended slide stop so I can reach it more easily. Only major downside is cost and training to activate the thumb safety when drawing, coming from a striker-fired platform. Thanks for the video, it reinforces my decision to use this as my primary carry piece.
@natetran
@natetran 6 күн бұрын
our experiences sound very similar....the Tenicor holster is ok; it's working for now until my normal holster guy gets all the blanks and stuff to be able to make a holster that I really like. I've trained a bunch of dry mag changes and am pretty confident with the weak/left hand slide stop drop....I have small to medium size hands so this works best for me. I've been carrying this now as my primary ccw for almost 3 months now and it feels totally normal and like you, i'm coming from striker/Glock.

Are the mags hard to load to 15 rounds or do you have to use a mag loader? How easy does the recoil spring fit? (Mine about drops in with no pressure all) I hear mags are going to be available sooner than later… I love the grip! I also like the point ability of this gun. Just put an RMR HD on it.
@natetran
@natetran 18 күн бұрын
Do you have an RMR HD on yours? I have concerns on ejection port overhang...unless I use a different mount. I'm able to load the mags to the full 15 rds with just my hands, but the last round can be a little more difficult. Recoil spring assembly on mine drops in perfectly as well.
@cia290
@cia290 18 күн бұрын
@@natetran I think my mags have a problem but I won’t know until more are available. RMR HD works fine no issues out of 150 rounds or so. I went with it because I like the looks of it and its the newest American made optic.

@cia290
@cia290 18 күн бұрын
@@natetran I think so. Whatever plate Staccato has on website. Only thing I used different was the RMR mounting screws to mount it. As they looked and felt stronger than what came with the mounting system.

Bottom line. Yes it’s pricy, yes you get what you pay for. However I look what goes into these guns, the thought process, the warranty, the ergonomics. Yes Glock is a tool. I’ve carried many for work. I’m a 1911 guy myself. I used to like Colts. Yes they are expensive. Once they sold out to CZ which in my mind is trash. I parted ways with Colt. Springfield makes and excellent gun. I own a P and I love it. I’m also a Daniel Defense fan as well. Once again, warranty, thought and ergonomics. You get what you pay for. People get buyers remorse on stuff. I’m done with that feeling. I’m not rich by any means. But the older I get I look quality, warranty, thought goes into something and ergonomics. This fun doesn’t cost $4,000. Tax out the door $2,600. I can see if you buy accessories from Staccato. Still a great video.

They're gorgeous pistols. I could never bring myself to spend Staccato money for one though. I've shot all kinds of Staccato's out at out club due to the extreme generosity of fellow club members. They're like butter man, just amazing craftsmanship all around.
