Absolutely love my Staccato P Duo. The amount ease at which the shooter can HOSE rounds down range accurately makes the gun feel like you are cheating. I almost like it more than my Wilson Combat 1911.

Love my C2. My only wish is Staccato would hurry up and release a threaded barrel to swap into it. I realize they sell one with a threaded barrel now, but I’m not buying a new gun in order to get a threaded barrel.

It’s a government contract with a service life double your polymer frame guns. Let alone the only Federal agencies getting them are special units like SOG.

@@HuntFishShootChannel It would need to have a service life 6 times that of something like a Glock branded pistol to break even on the price of even one of these pistols. The government is notoriously cheap when it comes to awarding contracts, which is why I made the offhand comment. I'm not speculating that the Staccato is or isn't a good pistol, just wildly spendy.

We always hear that most cops are not gun guys, and rarely train with their duty weapons beyond what is required. Now, all of a sudden, cops, most of which will never discharge their weapons in the line of duty, are paying big money for SAO pistols with thumb and grip safeties. For Staccato's sake, I hope this keeps the fan boys and wannabe operators buying their products. Springfield Armory is about to put the game in a chokehold with their Prodigy line, so overpriced 'duty guns' are living on borrowed time.

You aren’t wrong about a lot of cops not being proficient. However a lot of highly trained specialty units are carrying Staccatos as well as some departments approving them for duty use. An officer who isn’t a gun guy and not training on a regular occasion, is likely not buying a Staccato for duty use. The overwhelming majority of users are likely using them as a range toy.
