Staccato XC Review

I ordered my Staccato XC with their brand new aluminum flat trigger on Thursday and can’t wait! 10 minutes after I ordered it they ran out of the flat triggers and took it off their site for now. I am so stoked! The first time I racked the slide and shot it I was hooked! Now binge watching XC videos! Thanks for sharing brother!

I was nervous when I got my XC. As I have been running my C2s (near 7k though my training one) as my do it all pistol and was concerned the XC would make me lazy. After 4k rounds through her, I am happy to report that is not the case. I have found myself able to understand the little things I need to adjust. Being more target focus, grip, trigger pull etc. it has been easier to diagnose when I mess up a part of it, and that has helped to get better overall. Those aspects have helped me with not just my 2011s, but my glocks and other offerings. I can’t speak enough about the accuracy out of the XC. Wow, is it accurate, as I was able to get off of sandbags 2” groups at 50 yards. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! Great format for reviews.

Thanks for the video and insight. You switching the trigger and grip is the reason I haven't bought. The standard ones are fine, but for the price and mod cost basically Atlas Titan/Athena money happens. If for duty top choice, but a pinned grip safety and flat trigger are my preferences so I hope those are offered at some point.

You mention its a race gun. In what game are you using it? Or what division?

@Fv_ordnance Open 3 gun is it's best fit. Though I usually run steel challenge with it despite getting put in open.

@Fv_ordnance You will be at a disadvantage, I think in 3 gun it is mitigated. Personally I prefer not to use frame mounted optics and gas pedals as I don't like how it carries over to the rest of my shooting, despite my love for compensators

I got my XC roughly three weeks ago. About 500 rds through it at this point. I just gets better. At first i was like eh , its ok. But its getting better and better as I shoot it more. The dot never leaves the window , RMR HD .... And it returns to the point of impact perfectly... Its my fifth Staccato and my best so far .......

@SaucyShot you need to be honest with yourself as far as what it's use is going to be. Carry , home defense or just a range toy. Then you can make a proper choice

The way you described the trigger break is something I have been trying to describe for a while. For the most part the XC trigger is wall and break, but every once in a while there would be the tiniest "roller" movement before the break. In your experience is it possible to tune the XC for that "glass rod" break (i.e. Atlas Erebus)? With your mods it seems like you got a really crisp break and got rid of the (hate to say it like this) slop. All in all the XC trigger is a great and effective trigger once I got used to the lightness. However I am admittedly chasing the "glass rod" break and I feel that with longer distance shots, I feel the slight slop every once in a while before the break.

@asianeleven6050 the best way to do what you are looking for is replace the ignition set with an Atlas or Infinity ignition "hammer, sear, disconnector" and probably put an Infinity trigger shoe in it so you can get rid of the wobble in the grip module and fine tune the travel.

I was looking for my first 2011. Ive bad numerous 1911s. Nighthawks, Wilson Combat, i have a Christensen Arms which funny enough, i like more than the nighthawks. I know. I know. Is what it is. Inwas going to buy something other thsn staccato. I didnt want to spend more than 3500 but was going to try one if these newer players.
