Chabar if nothing can separate us from his love (which is talking about persecution from others)then why does Jesus say to REMAIN IN HIS LOVE?it must be possible to NOT REMAIN IN IT, no?

@@billerickson5604 it IS possible to "not remain" and, little by little, fall away, so that at the end, you're openly sinning and openly ignoring God's word. Then one would question that person's true conversion though!! It's very very possible, and I think scary.....that's why we are reminded to work out our salvation "with fear and trembling" .....not to work FOR our salvation, but to work "out" our salvation.....to see if we are in the faith. It can be hugely deceiving......you CAN go through your life thinking you're saved, when you're not........xx

@@angelikaclark3042 i agree, but I would think Jesus would know if his remaining eleven disciples were truly converted or not. So it seems to me that it wouldn't make sense for him to tell them to remain if it wasnt possible not to as reformers suppose. But from what i have heard, the argument would be that they it would be possible , but they wont due to the warning. Gods keeping them by it . What do u think?

@@billerickson5604 .....yes you're right, Jesus knew......maybe there remains a bit of a mystery about it, in the same way that "election" isn't fully understood. I don't have a question about the remaining apostles, I do read of others who didn't walk with him any more .......and later, in the time of acts, how some people (who had previously been with Paul), actually did him harm (Alexander the coppersmith), ........and Demus (loved the world)..... I do know it's possible to talk the talk and walk on the straight path, and then to turn away. I'm talking about myself. I am so shocked about it, that I now firmly believe, I was never saved. I NOW think, it is impossible to lose the faith. Impossible. Or you're still lost..... that I DO know. You can be somewhat enlightened but not really be His at all. All these wasted years. Bitter experience. I'm inclined to say: "why me Lord! I do NOT deserve it". And my Father answers: "No you don't. But in Jesus sacrifice you're accepted" I have no more words. X

Also , what how was your walk different from before you believe you were saved to now? Sorry , i just didnt fully understand but am interested in your point about the disciples and even more so about your personal experience. I lean very heavily that a born again , holy spirit filled disciple of Jesus can fail to enter the kingdom , though i think this would be pretty rare and that most were likely never be born again. I cant see how i would ever turn back from Jesus since the day i received the Holy Spirit and was saved . Hoping to hear back, God bless u my friend

The bible warns that some will depart from the faith in the latter days ( you can’t fall away/de[art unless you were a part of it to begin with). The Bible warns about Backsliding (you can’t back slide if you didn’t slide forward to begin with). Also, there is reference to people’s name being blot of the book of life (your name can’t be blot out unless it was written first). Don’t forget there are numerous verses that state the following people will not inherit the Kingdom of God- For instance. 1 Corinthians 6:9 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. If sin wasn’t a big deal then why would Jesus say this Matthew 18: 8“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into [b]hell fire. If you sin you are of the devil (1 John 8:44) when you ask God to change your life and you put in your own effort (James 4:7) then you are adopted into the family. God is Holy so you must be Holy, you need to enter the narrow gate and aim to be perfect as the Father is perfect; you will be sanctified and changed overtime and conformed to the image of Jesus. If you are born again you can still fall away ; Jude refers to it as being twice dead. Remember in revelation it states the devil makes war with those who have the testimony of Jesus Christ and keep the commandments of God. Now most people do one without the other; for instance, lukewarm Christians (Rev 3:16) have the testimony of Jesus but are living in intentional sin. Jews keep the commandments of God but do not have the testimony of Jesus. God requires both! Matthew 7: 21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

I don't kno how some can say you have truly received salvation. .born again a true believer..but can still lose your salvation. .this makes Christ a lyer and his boast about His hand and His father's hand completely empty.. what a blessing this message is

If a person can lose their salvation, they can never ever say that they know they are saved. Because if you can do something that can cancel out your salvation today (or next week, or next year), then at best you can say is "I know I am saved right now." But what you can never say is, "I know I have eternal life."

I love the part where he says, that you can't jump out of His hand. I've had true Arminian's tell me that you can jump out! That's nonsense! I'm the one I need saving from! If I can jump out, I'm sunk, and Christ is a liar! Thank you Lord for your grace!

@@mikewiththebluecar Regardless of whether a person is born again or an unbeliever, are we not all dependent on Christ for our very life and existence? So in a very real sense we are all born branches on the vine because we are all dependent on him to even live another second. So this illustration would then not have the implications suggested. Alternatively, the branches broken off could represent the "Israel who are Israel" i.e. those simply blood related to the line and not those who are actual Israel.
