I had difficulty appreciating the documentary on Spurgeon because of the "young" Spurgeon's very rural accent and voice (an actor, of course). I *love* this preacher on this set of videos!

This man had the Spirit in great measure. Note this sermon 1880, am I alone in the belief that there is something even more special about his sermons in this decade? As an example I listened to three sermons on prayer each a decade apart with each one going deeper and deeper. Have listened to sermons 1855 -1888 all pearls, are there any later than the 1888 which I think was the start of the downgrade controversy?
