The only way to prevent that bleed is make a final pass with a sharp skew and not sand at all. Very cool blank - nice job!

Now that is one nice lookin' pen! Too bad about the bleeding, maybe sanded through the CA at that end. It's still a nice addition for the personal collection.

Thank you Ted, I’d be worried about additional sanding as I hit the bushing so closely that you can’t feel where the blanks ends and the pen component begins. I’m worried if I sand, it will render the blank lower than the component and you would feel the transition. Regards, Bob

Bob look at the video frame by frame from 4:16 to 4:18 as the blank makes the first revolution. It is very striking the difference the wheel makes.

Wow, I'd be super proud to carry that around with me everywhere I go if I were you, in spite of the little "blemish" on the one end. I'd say that's hardly noticeable and I used to turn pens myself and am SUPER PICKY!

Great looking pen, what is the reason you change to your turning bushings to micro mesh?
