Never won the $200 major prize when it was there but I used to really like playing this game at a pizza parlor nearby.

Nice grab! This one sure has had a fun trip around the globe! :) Stacker is actually classed as a "skill" based game, rather than "rigged" or uses a "set payout rate". It's quite a clever system, seeing as the blocks can skip (as you demonstrated) anytime from choosing to continue for a major prize. The manual does state that "every game can be a winning game" and if you look at the breakdown of the program in the program notes, it refers to it as "windowed skill" or a "timing window". I can only assume this means the accuracy you hit the button where you would normally encounter skipping, unlike on the earlier levels where the block can be stacked at anytime when on top of each other? Also I guess the timing window that you need to hit accurately in order to win a major prize without skipping adjusts, or widens depending on several factors (how fast the cube speed is set, how high the major prize skill level is set, how many credits since a previous major prize has been won, etc.), so Stacker is indeed a game of skill! If you read the instructions though, it does state "approximately every *** number of games", so that generally is (based on difficulty) how often a major prize is payed out based on the average player. From my findings it is normally pretty close to that set number. "Keep stacking em up!" is indeed the sound that is played when a prize error occurs. That is on older machines like this one, where as on newer machines (like the blue ones) that use newer audio ROMs, that sound is replaced by "Be a winner!" in a male voice.

12:06 For some reason, some Stacker units say "Keep stackin' them up!" as their prize error message, some say "Be a winner!" as their prize error message, and some say "Prize error, prize error, please call an attendant."
