I believe the safest was to put the little apparatus on the frame cross bar or axle then slide it on fithwheel. Instead of them being under it.

Wiley hard to run any piece of equipment when you have two different people telling you what to do and the little one just about lost some fingers at one point. I worked with cranes for over 30 years and those guys getting under the suspended loads made me pray each time they did it, I’ve had eight friends die working with cranes and those two fellows were very lucky I hope they have a safe trip home and I’ll pray they do. God bless Wiley.

I decided that the brackets should be attached first while the truck is on the ground and then the pull truck could come in at an angle allowing the loader to easily clear the sleeper cab. Dangerous as can be allowing them under the truck while suspended by chains.

Wow!!!! I have done some sketchy stuff and i mean alot. Worked alot with language barriers. You all could have spend 2 minutes goinng over hands and fingers basics such as up down left right stop. If and when there are future operations or for viewers. Line trucks up tight as you can. Put the clamp on axel, lift, block take wheels off, lift and let the fifth wheel do the alignment. If the bucket is an issue bring the power truck in at an angle. At all times have the spotter where the operator can see them. Go over hand signals before starting.

Wily, you need to get a telehandler and 3 0r 4 10000 pound lifting straps with chain and hooks on one end. For what you can ruin not having some basic equip isnt worth it. Thinking of your safety. The easiest way to hook them up would be to back in at an angle instead of straight on., kind of jack knife them in. It would have opened up the side you had the loader on.
@quietbrianquiet Жыл бұрын
Curious as to why they had to be stacked in a straight line? You had that whole open field. Place the loader on the right front and lift it. The loader is stood off from the tractor being lifted with no damage. Have the axle attachment put on the truck in the air not the fifth wheel. Then have them back under it from the left side at an angle just like they were making a sharp turn and bump the fifth wheel, You have the wonderful invention of a fifth wheel that can turn 360 seems to me like that would be an awesome thing to use. Just curious.
