im a retired american trucker. ive pulled triples in the mountains of the west coast for 30 years. ive went everrywhere they asked me to go. ive had the living shit scared out of me so many times i cant remember most. ive had my sets spin around 360 degrees so many times in the middle of the highway it seems ridiculous. Ive ALWAYS wanted to run the Austrailian road trains. i grew up 5 blocks from Kenworth. id give ANYTHING to run a big train acrossed the outback. id pay all my own travel and do it for free. i met an italian gentleman one time that had actually done it. he said it was a 3 man team. the passenger seat was always filled with a man with a shotgun ready to shoot "roos" . i guess they end up in the radiator and shut the trucks down in the middle of nowhere. wow. I wanna do that. If you know anyone who may give me a drive test let me know. im serious! i know many american truckers who want the sa,me thing. im a good mechanic. the us army says im an 'expert' rifleman. how fun would that be!!!!! omg!

Of All The Operators On This Program, Nobody Beats Steve Grahame For Resourcefulness, Skill, And Sheer Invincible Tenacity, Along With Great Aussie Humour And The Attitude Of A True Gentleman!! It Will Be The End Of An Era, When He Knocks Off For The Last Time, And A Great Loss To The Industry, Of Such A Sterling Example!! Steve's Antecedents Were The Old Aussie Bullocky's, Who Opened Up The Blue Mountains, And The Western Plains Of New South Wales; He Is A Part Of That Australian Bloodline!! The Only People Comparable To Steve On This Program Are That Toothy Bloke In The Western Star, And His Lovely Young Wife Joanne, Who Is A Real Diamond; A Lovely Young Aussie Lady, Even If She Is Always "Taking Photographs," When She's Sitting In The Back!! It's Not A Surprise That They Are Good Mates With Steve!! A Couple Of The Others Are Frankly, Not Serious People, But There Are Some Very Skilled And Tenacious Drivers, Especially Up Around Cape York!! All In All, I Very Much Enjoy This Program, Even Though The Commentary Can Get Right Over The Top At Times!!

Thanks again. Some interesting stuff in there. The new weed spraying train is something I haven’t seen before. Obviously the power is a heavily modified EMD. With its flat nose it is somewhat looking like the new power we get here. Love the PSR trains for their sheer size but could imagine the crews don’t like them. That viaduct between Paxton and Sutherland (is where it is I think) is headed to what looks like a coal powered electric power supplier. I don’t remember it being there but possibly just missed it. I suppose it’s UP but not 100% sure. Great shots alone US30 which brings back some great memories as we came up from Julesburg and onto US30 at Ogallala on our first time there and just got train after train. Great Sunday morning timing. Doesn’t get any better than a nice coffee and a new railroad video! Richard.
