Last logs stacked on my cabin build. It's been a long time coming, but I made it. Now I just need to finish!

Just came across your video of how to make dovetail jigs and loved your explanation, so I checked out your cabin build and was blown away at how nice the cabin is looking, I became a instant fan. The cabin is beautiful, great work sir!

You did a good job! It hides if there is a problem in it and adds to the character.

I hope it turns out ok. I’m finishing the trusses and first decking tomorrow. I’ll post another video next weekend. Thanks for watching and commenting

I like the character. The more the better and I agree with making the outside look older. Nice work brother.

You are amazing and inspiring! I missed this video. By the way I love my laser on my LT50. Couldn't do with out it. Eventually want to do the Chair modification. Thanks again for sharing.

The laser is amazing , you’ll find more ways to use it besides setting the pith. Did you do the mirror? If you want I can sketch up what I did for the framing of my ride-a-long seat. Just let me know

Nice Job, Looks great! Going to try and build one of these myself. Did you let the logs dry before or after sawing?
@oldbluffsawmill52353 ай бұрын
Heah Tyler My logs were cut oversized slightly then air dried for 8-10 months. I then cut them to size and dressed them at that point.

But all of your logs are only sitting on small wood blocks. That can't be strong and stable.
@oldbluffsawmill52359 ай бұрын
Solid logs across the top are the structure of any log wall. The old school log cabins were the same way. It’s more solid than you think. Especially with so many screws and angle iron at all openings.
