I reposted the video because Stacy was fighting that the manosphere was like the feminist movement. Tony (from the manosphere) was agreeing with her and commenting to agree. Tony comes up and disagrees with her… “We are fighting to not be stepfathers and vote republican.” Stacy ignores this and continues to fight saying, “the schmenz were fighting for wages and it is like feminism.” Do not be like Stacy. Tony does not know how to help you. Tony will will bring shame.

It's a shame she doesn't realize that the black male mansphere is fighting for the right to not be held financially or physically responsible for the children that they help create, for women to lower their standards so they can get access, for the right to go 50/50 and still be called the head of the house, for the right to eat before helpless children,

She wasn't up to the task. Stacey's argument was nonsensical. BM have sided with patriarchy and yt supremacy. For subjugated group to align with the suppressive power structure does not make sense. I'm 47 years old. When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s there were women who had men in the house while they were collecting welfare. They were not reporting that the men were there...some of the men worked and some didn't. That scene in Claudine with the worker coming over and her hiding his things was real life. You never heard or seen a mass of black men becoming homeless because of women putting them out in exchange for welfare. Those men were taking advantage of or benefiting from the system also. Things changed in the 90s with welfare reform where women had to go through a work program to find employment or risk losing their benefits. Men couldn't just sit in the house anymore. Women got employment, went to school, started businesses. There are alot of young people talking in these spaces, I wish they would interview people who lived 50, 60+ years ago to get a real perspective on how things really were instead of putting out misinformed and bias information like this young lady. Those men had an opportunity to work and build. A lot of them did not or chose to do so in illegal ways. They did not fight for it. Even Farrakhan tried to get them on their feet with the million man march...they gathered out there and went back to business per usual.

Thank you for sharing this. My grandfather was a professional boxer and when his career ended he converted the kitchen into a salon for my grandmother to do hair. She wasn't able to get a reg job, and due to his health issues he couldn't keep one. Saturdays were the busiest days. The men in town would send their wives to my grandmother to get them ready for church on Sunday. There wasn't enough money so, my grandmother would also collect. His things had to be hidden in order to do this.

@@stacierose1692 Chile..I lived in an apartment complex that was based on income. So you had those that worked and those that collected welfare. I kid you not, every family had a man and woman in the house working or not. This was 1980. The ones that were on welfare hiding the men would ask the ones working to leave his stuff in there until the case worker leaves because they knew the case worker wouldn't be going there and they did it too. And I found out this was going on all over so when men say they were put out in exchange for welfare, that's not entirely true. And if they weren't with their family they were laying up with a woman that was collecting especially if they weren't working. They were right in those houses benefiting from rent they didn't have to pay, food provided by food stamps and playing Atari/Colectovision and Nintendo or worst, out on the corner selling. And there were men who legitimately worked but did not make enough to sustain they household. So even though they feel it was a vehicle to break families apart and they use this as their rhetoric for the demise of the black family, that is not true and a slap in the face of the woman that were trying to be loyal to them.

She's trying so hard to diss feminism in particular without having to make any actual points about feminism 😂. She just wants you to agree that bm and bw have struggles and move on. Her position being since both groups have grievances, we can falsely equate their struggles as similar or the same. The manosphere is not about liberating men from the oppression of women. It’s principally about the (re)subjugation of women following hard won gains in rights the men feel uncomfortable/unhappy about. That's the big difference.

The courts are deeming their gerrymandering unconstitutional. ALL students are standing up against them and in a few years we will become victorious when the younger ones come into voting age. The manosphere are voting against female candidates and voting for white supremacists. This is how Stacy Abrams lost in Georgia. She doesn’t even know what they stand for and why they are created. But at the same time she is defending and advocating for them. They were created to voice their opinions and grievances with women and relationships. Women do not oppress them. So another fact as how they are not comparable to the feminism movement. With her eyes she see the only talking points these men have are about women submitting to men and degrading single mothers even though those same men have contributed to the single mother population. I wish I was on the panel because I would have gotten her straight the first 10 minutes.

I love how patient themis is because me personally, if we are having a conversation or debate and i ask you to clarify your point and all you're trying to do is dance around the topic, play semantics, make accusations and accuse me of gaslighting you when you're not able to back up or clarify the argument you're making is when I become agitated and may even get disrespectful because people like this Stacy person are the worst they seriously just want to waste your time. They aren't actually adhering to learning anything from these conversations they just want to argue and hear themselves talk.

Stacy's idea of everyone "moving the goal post" is simply everyone taking her talking points to the next logical conclusion. It seems like all of her ideas exist in a vacuum where she's not allowing one belief to logically connect to anything else. Themis and Cyn were making obvious, basic connections and conclusions that anyone reasonable would make. She was acting like they were operating in bad faith by changing topics for no reason. I used to think manosphere guys did this just to be disingenuous, but now I'm wondering if that space simply attracts people who think in this way. Not necessarily out of malicious reasoning but out of the inability to connect ideas in a logical way. It also explains why they are so easily swindled by con men. You can't spot a con if you are unable to see that contradicting ideas are being sold to you. I still don't understand why she would claim someone is gaslighting because of a claim they made, yet she cannot dispute the claim they made. Worse, you lack the knowledge of the topic to even know whether their claim is right or wrong. I'm of the firm belief that not every opinion is valid. If the foundation of your opinion is based on incorrect information then your entire opinion becomes invalid. You cannot claim that feminism and the manosphere are comparible when you have no idea why the manosphere was created or what they actively fight for. It's is short sighted, immature, and dangerous to judge a movement based on what you think it might be about or what the leaders claim it's for instead of what you actually see is being done. That's how you get facism. People listening to lies being told rather than looking at the actions of the movement's leaders and followers.

How she had the audacity to try and defend something she admittedly knew nothing about , baffled me. You don’t get on a public forum not knowing what you’re talking about, then accuse someone of gaslighting what you don’t know and understand. That was dumb.

This is hard to listen to because I used to think there was hope for black men but now that I’ve researched and looked through our past and current situation and I agree that we coddled them too much and therefore they haven’t evolved. We black women are guilty so guilty of this shit. These days I’m not softening up. Not until we can agree on ways we can maneuver out of white supremacy.

The manosphere have nothing in common with any movement of the past. Not feminism, not civil rights and not the Black Panthers. All of those movements fought for the rights our people needed for survival and to be progressive in society. The manosphere is not only NOT fighting for any rights but they're a part of a demographic which has created and upheld a non progressive and/or regressive society. This is largely the fault of BM by simply being present in the community they do NOTHING to add any type of benefit or value to as a collective, WHILE they majorly benefit from the community, either through crime, violence or other negative means. There's truly just no need for them to be here.

I believe I’m losing brain cells. I’m at 28 minutes in and I still don’t know Stacy’s point. I feel like she took me on a ride up and down and around and around, evading all attempts to pin her down. She is extremely talented in evasive communication style. If a group of people are passionate about being heard they usually have a message they want to spread. 1. What is the manosphere’s message? 2. How is their “ movement “ comparable to the feminist movement? These are the questions I hope Stacy will finally answer in the next 10 minutes.
