In this video resident expert Nick Bigelow demonstrates why he loves the Erica Synths Black sequencer.
The Black Sequencer features 4 channels with CV, gate and modulation outputs, up to 64 step sequences that can be chained into songs, independent track time divisions, multiplications and lengths. It includes a built-in quantizer, LFOs, envelope generators, parameter randomization, a MIDI in/out and many other features essential for composing and performing electronic and experimental music. Even though it provides many programmable parameters per step, it’s intuitive, easy and straightforward to use, and we believe that it will become a master controller for many modular setups.

Erica Synths is amazing! Their Pico 2 System was my very first modular setup and I'd recommend it to anyone starting out. This sequencer looks super playable, and I want one. Thanks for the video Nick and Patchwerks crew! 🍻🤖

it rocks super intuitive easy to use and powerful. I hope they come out with a cv and gate expander so can use with 8-16 cv and gates to match what Nerdseq have. It is similar to Eloquencer but easier to use.

Great demo of Black Seq's depth. Firmware update 1.06 just came out allowing probability or odds amount of the randomizer (magic) per step per channel! Such a great feature check it out. They also added a super handy undo feature to reload previous pattern.

Hello everyone, I recently got a Black Sequencer and I can't figure out one thing: when I want to copy a pattern, for example, pattern #1 to pattern #5, and I'm in ch1, the sequencer also copies the patterns from the other channels, meaning pattern #1 to #5 in ch2, ch3, ch4. It doesn't make sense to me. Where am I going wrong?

This will probably never get seen but i have a question: I have 4 voices in my rack and am sequencing those with my Black Sequencer...but just bought an Oxi Coral. Right now I have no other sequencer. I was thinking of getting a Keystep Pro to midi to the Coral and use that to sequencer multiple tracks but also want to use the keystep as a controller routed from a midi hub to the BS....I'm hoping that is something I can do....cable to Oxi and cable to midi in on the BS. Also, not sure which should be master ?
