importance of staffing: 1) filling the job positions by obtaining competent personnel: staffing involves filling the job positions there will be no use of job positions until and unless these are occupied by employees and through staffing function only that employees are appointed in the organisation. 2) placing the right person at the right job: staffing ensures higher performance by placing the right person at the right job employees are appointed according to their qualifications. 3) growth of the enterprise: by the appointment of efficient staff, staffing ensures higher growth and continuous survival of the organisation. an organisation grows with the efforts of its employees only. 4) optimum utilisation of human resource: through manpower planning and job analysis, we can find out the number and type of employees required in the organisation so, there is no chance of overstaff or understaff. 5) helps in competing: two organisations can have the same physical and financial resource but what helps the organisation to win over the other is its efficient staff an organisation with efficient staff can easily win over its competitors. 6) improves job satisfaction and morale of the employees: staffing does not only stop with the appointment of its employees. it includes training, promotion, compensation etc., all these activities help in motivating the employees and boost up the morale of its employees.
