I see Stafford putting up 5000 plus yard seasons in LA like he put up 4000 plus yard seasons in Detroit. Now that we have a 17 game season, anyway. I also think that he'll be the first QB to eclipse 6000 yrds and 60 TD's? That ain't going to happen this year. They'll win the Division with a record of 14-3. I see the loses to the Titans and Ravens. The worst they'll do is 12-5. I don't think Stafford will start slowing down for another 5 yrs at least. I think Stafford will play well into his late thirties maybe his early 40's at a high level.

Jarvis is key to their offensive structure Edwin. I think Baker will be given one more year. Case Keenum had everything going right for him last week, and even then his limitations showed during the game. A solid backup, they should be grateful to have him there, but Baker have shown beyond doubt why he's the starter. When he converts a few close ones into wins, the narrative will shift.

As a Lifelong Detroit Lions fan I will always roll with my team but I am also pulling for one Matthew Stafford. I remember watching the draft on ESPN when The Lions selected him. I thought it was the prodigal son returning to the fold. We, TRUE Lions fans knew that Stafford had starred at the same HS our last great QB, Bobby Lane, starred at. I watched every single game of Matt Stafford's Lion career and I am proud to say that he PLAYED HARD EVERY GAME. Some of his 4th quarter comebacks would have my co workers and I boasting all week. Now just seeing Goff in just a few games, I see a quitter. Stafford NEVER EVER quit in 11 years, Goff has quit already. Of course I want The Lions to win Sunday, but it wouldn't bother me one bit if The Rams continue towards a ring.

Tbh, if Staff plays at an elite level for another 5 or so years, wins some playoff games, maybe even a SB, and overall is viewed as one of the top QBs in the league for that time, theres no way he isnt getting into the HOF. Theres nothing wrong with a QB being loyal to their team and city. Not everyone has to jump ship every 5 seconds for the best chance to win. That's how you destroy smaller market teams and end up with just 4-5 teams people care about like the NBA has done.

I like Stafford, but people like Colin are going to make me a hater. Putting the stats from 5 games against 12 years is wild & not every really good QB should be a hall of famer! It's rare! Eli Manning is 9th all-time in passing yards with 2 rings & is still borderline because he had some bad seasons! The hall of famers are the best of that generation of football! He was drafted in 2008... From 2008 to 2021 who have been the most dominant players? So far, he's not among the players who have defined this generation of football. I'm sorry, but he's just not!

Trubisky had comparable numbers to Mayfield and no one in Chicago questioned the decision to move off of him. If Cleveland is fine with this performance, they may as well let Mayfield walk and sign Trubisky for cheap next year. You'll literally get the same or better numbers.

Just shut him down, really what’s there to lose? Think about this, Case Keenum’s familiar with Kevin Stefanski back in Minnesota. He had his best season of his career in 2017 having him as his offensive coordinator. If Keenum can even get back to half of his 2017 form, that would be as good as a fully healthy Baker when he has OBJ on the field. Not saying Case is better, but in the current situation he would be the most beneficial for the team over an injured Baker.

Keep in mind that Baker was drafted under the failed front office by the guys responsible for them going 0-16. The new front office responsible for them making the playoffs were given Baker. Also keep in mind that this same front office also hasn't offered Baker a contract extension. That being said I don't think Baker is part of the competent franchise that was mentioned so much as a part of the incompetent franchise that has yet to be fixed yet.
