Best dogs ever! I have 4.They are the MOST affectionate...almost human like in their need for cuddling and comforting.Not a mean bone in their bodies.Sadly, deal with their bad reputation on a daily basis...so we just re-educate people as best we can.

My staffie is incredibly friendly to everyone, never barks or acts aggressively to any people. I'm always at ease when I let him meet my friends (except for the fact that he really likes hugging and licking people lol)

Staffies are the best!! They take a lot of work to train and to keep in good health - but they get you out of the house to walk them, exercise and or obedience school. Our staffy is 11 months old and he is awesome!

Love Staffies. My sister had one Susan dog but she passed over now. She should have been trained more bc she pulled and pulled on the lead but a wonderful 🐕 dog. My sisters hubby passed at 50 and so I bet he still takes her a walk in Heaven. 😁

I lost my SBT (pic) to complications of congestive heart failure a few months back, he was the sweetest dog ever. Sure miss him. There are not many SBT's in the USA, I wish we had more. I'd love to adopt a new one someday.

I was sadly affected by the bad press, I don't mind admitting. I was wary of them and did cross the road if I saw one (perhaps it was some of the owners I crossed over the road to avoid?) But I ended up reluctantly with a young boy 13 years ago.... He taught me that I'd misjudged them. He became my best friend and was always a lovely boy. He passed in April 2021 after 2 years of fighting cushing's syndrome unfortunately. He was a rescue and nearly 14. I immediately had to find another for my own sanity and luckily in June of 2021 I did! A 7 month old rescue. Though he's technically a Stollie (a parent was a true Stollie and another was a pure ESBT, so he's more staffy (Stollie is a Staffy and a border collie) the difference is he has a double coat and is a little sleaker in build but I'm sure in another year he will fill out some more. He's amazing. A real bright spark with a little less of the clingyness and slightly more independent but he is very affectionate and loves his sofa cuddles. Best breed ever for sure. I miss my old boy every day but the memories will last a lifetime and the lessons he taught me are really beneficial to my new boy who is now 1 year old last week. I can't recommend the breed enough for families, singles and the elderly. They just seem to know how to behave accordingly to any situation. Very loyal and very cheeky. A fun breed that sometimes has to put up with ignorance but is so worth it. Ignore the wallies and do yourself a favour and really consider one

Staffies are mistaken as guard dogs by poor families in neighbourhoods where owning a proper guard dog or security system will cost you. The cost of a guard dog is huge, plus you need to give them the space which many don't have. Staffies are comparatively cheaper and many mistakenly think their muscular build means they're ferocious.
@OldMillSmallholding7 жыл бұрын
fcgfgcfg you are not making any sense! I have two dogs a staffie and a border collie and they cost the same price lol 😂
@Bigbuggin7 жыл бұрын
All The Best Bits he's saying a guard dog will cost a lot, not a staffy

fcgfgcfg - Why would poor families want a proper guard dog or a security system? What would they be guarding against if they presumably have nothing worth stealing?

You are educating people about Staffordshire bull terriers but didn't mention their doggy super power. Every different breed is bred for a purpose. The staffie was bred for its immensely powerful jaw muscles, ability to clamp down on something and not let go for anything other than death and a very stocky muscle heavy body that is great for fighting other dogs and animals. Staffie also has a lot of skin around the neck and throat area and this to protect from other biting dogs. Stop trying to say they are loyal and loving and that's it. Tell the full story. I own a staffie also, I'm not just hating on the breed.
@sianrohde87146 жыл бұрын
All The Best Bits every Terrier is bred for biting and holding. That is a terrier trait regardless of what type of terrier. So it's not just a staffy thing. Terriers were all introduced for hunting first from bulls to rats.
@novass6666 жыл бұрын
These dogs are perfect,they are best companions,strong and intelligent with biggest heart in the world. who cares about their jaw power or fighting abilities,its about character,they never give up,and has a very strong defence felling for their pack- family.. very emotional creatures, i don`t think that you actually owned one of these or probably something is wrong with you...
@anthonymclean97436 жыл бұрын
Obi Border Collie Their jaws aren't as powerful as they make out nowhere like a German Shepard or a rottie a lot of their fighting traits are long gone yea they like a scrap but so do a lot of other breeds do...
@oshawaxpress6 жыл бұрын
Anthony McLean - For what it's worth, their jaws are every bit as powerful as German Shepherds and Rottweilers, but those breeds are simply much bigger. Staffies do like to hang on once they close their jaws on something. Idiots think they can 'lock' their jaws, which is anatomically impossible. They don't 'like a scrap' either. They rarely start fights but will not back down if challenged. Chihuahuas are far more aggressive and Labradors are far more likely to bite.
@oshawaxpress6 жыл бұрын
Harping on about what staffies were bred for many years ago is part of the reason staffies have a bad rep. The full story of staffies today, is that they are loving, loyal and fearless,, I don't care if you own a staffie, so do I.
