As a lefty I love my Stag Arms 8TL, went and upgraded from their DI to their Piston system upper way back when and I fell in love with it. It’s just a shame they stopped making Piston system uppers (or rifles). That warranty I got honestly i hope I never have to use cause with no parts left if something specific to that type rifle does go bad then all that can be done is replacing it back with a DI system. (I’m not a fan of my rifle pooping in it’s own mouth lol) Oh well still it is an amazing rifle. Unless things have changed over the years Stag Arms firearms aren’t easy on the wallet but if you are wrong handed like I am then it’s the best company out there.

As a CT resident and former employee of my dad's gun shop that sold lots of Stag, it was sad to see y'all go but this state is toxic. I just hope the quality stays the same, because the rifles you built in new Britain were top notch, and CT might have terrible laws but a lot of great guns are made here by several big companies. I know why you moved, but rebranding? You don't need to rebrand, you were making amazing stuff and I hope that doesn't change. I'm glad my stag arms box says new Britain on, it's a piece of CT history back when CT was a good state to be in. I'm sure when the laws get even worse (hard to imagine) colt will leave, as will ruger, and the dozens of smaller companies that used to thrive in this state. I really want to leave for a free state, hell they shut my father's gun shop down and took his FFL away over literally nothing in this state and stole our livelihood...but I also want to stand and fight
@l.r.trammell14373 жыл бұрын

Dang brother. Sorry to hear of the nonsense your family had to put up with. It's irritating to see what has happened to the "Constitution State" in the past few decades. I'm encouraged by your willingness to stay and fight for what's right, but if it becomes overwhelming, come on down to one of the free states. We would love to have you on our side. God bless you and your family!
@bobbyc2768 Жыл бұрын
@@jasonroberts9357 thanks for the kind words brother, it sure is hard here in this insane state. I'm only 30 years old, and within my lifetime this was a mostly red state. In fact, just like the rest of the US, most of the area of CT is red, it's a few certain cities that are blue that rule the rest of the state. Our last elected red governor was arrested by the FBI, after his LT. Gov. took over and her term ended, we've had two terrible blue governors, and a huge blue wave came over the state and they did not wait to make radical changes to everything especially in regards to our 2A rights, they made sweeping laws in a night session of the general assembly with most members not even present, laws that were completely contrary to our national and state constitutions. It's sad to see a state that has so much history, being a huge player in the Revolutionary war and the birth of this nation as a free country, where our first governor was one of only a few governors who went against the King and had his house burned down and lost everything he had fighting for freedom, where we also had many gun companies from the early days that supplied our militaries, frontiersmen, and everyday free citizens for centuries. Some great firearm engineers, some of the best, came out of this state. We made submarines, Sikorski helicopters, and in general had tons of manufacturing jobs. Then under governor Malloy, voted "most hated governor in America" (yet reelected somehow!) caused many of the great employers to move out. When GE left our state, everyone knew we were screwed, and tons of other companies followed. In 2012, my father's FFL was taken for no reason, no appeal process was possible, and lots of other shops were similar stripped of their licenses for either no reason or arbitrary reasons - the quiet, behind the scenes gun control nobody hears about. Livelihoods were destroyed, my father went from being a breadwinner to being broke while I was a junior in high school, I was no longer able to work there where I was working as an armorer, in sales, and learning gunsmithing, and it happened to several other FFL businesses in this state. Our entire state, even people who proudly called themselves democrats, hated governor Malloy, and everyone knew Lamont would be the same thing (but more radical) yet somehow Lamont was elected, yet nobody knows how. Our state turned from red to blue seemingly overnight. This should be a warning to everyone even in free states, look at what's happening in Georgia, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada...Oregon has a similar problem where the entire state is red except the Portland metro area and there is even a growing movement of people who want to secede and make eastern Oregon part of Idaho. Low income housing is being built everywhere there is a patch of land and people are being moved in from out of state and often from other countries ("migrants") and given money and they vote blue, turning red districts blue. The democrats know what they are doing, and they will not stop with CT, they are coming for every free state in this nation and I fear that if I move to a free state it will be a temporary problem, as they solidify their grip on CT and move on to the next state to conquer. There are a lot of questions if our votes are even valid in this state, as videos popped up of someone filling a ballot box up with tons of ballots in Bridgeport during the 2016 election. Don't think you are safe in a red state, democrats fight dirty and the big money republicans are really no different like McConnel, Pence, etc. They are moving people into red areas, redistricting, and bringing in loads of people over the border under the guise of "asylum" and giving them money, and reminding them that the democrats looked out for them and that they should return the favor every voting season. They are hell bent on being the one and only party ruling the entire nation, dividing and conquering by stirring up fear and hatred among us of our fellow citizens so that we're worried more about our neighbors than the politicians. These are scary times, and the politicians doing this are un-American and essentially treasonous. These people are not content with having blue states where they get to live their way, and red states where people get to live freely, they want to rule the entire nation and they are coming for every corner of America. While republicans want to be left alone, go to work, feed and raise their families, and don't bother anyone else, they seek to control everyone, and they aren't afraid to weaponize the government and justice system to achieve that. A one party state (or a two party state where both parties say different things but do the same things) is a scary thought, and it's happening fast.
@jasonroberts9357 Жыл бұрын
@@bobbyc2768 Well said brother, I completely agree with everything you said! LOL I do believe this is the longest reply message I have ever received! You could probably make a great video discussing everything you wrote about! It is scary how fast the progressive left has been able to fundamentally transform America(in some areas). I never thought my former home state of Georgia would become "purple". You faithful patriots in these once great states deserve better, and I salute those who have chosen to stay and fight. I pray for a peaceful solution, but the divide between the progressive left and traditional conservatives seems too great to overcome. Much love and respect to you all behind enemy lines! Godspeed my brother!

I’ve had three Stag AR’s over the years and still have one, great rifles. I like the move out west, but can’t get behind the new logo. For you guys who know your firearms, where does stag rank roughly amongst the ar’s out there?
@Matt-sf4hi3 жыл бұрын
Not sure how it ranks amongst other AR’s, but I recently picked up a Stag 15 Tactical (5.56 AR-15) from my local gun store. I looked at and held the other AR’s they had (DPMS’s, Smith and Wessons, Rugers), but the Stag was more lightweight and felt better in the hands then the other AR’s, plus in my opinion I thought it looked better esthetically. Was about the same price as the other AR’s as well (1k thanks to Biden lol), but well worth it. Took it home and put a Red Dot Sight and a Foregrip on it. Only took a few minutes, it’s very easy to customize a Stag rifle. Have yet to shoot it, but from what I’ve heard, these rifles are as accurate and reliable as any other AR for the same price.
