front mount is a farther distance, and you get more turbo lag than the factory top mount. WRX has a twin scroll turbo which eliminates a marginal percent of lag. vs the sti

I’ve owned both and they each have there place. STI is definitely the better platform for big power. FA is pretty impressive on how much abuse the stock motor will take and it’s ride quality is better as a daily too.

Anyone that has driven or owned both a wrx and sti will tell you they behave different and have different personalities. Boost hits totally different and one is more civilized. I love my sti because it's a little more raw, but I understand completely why people get the wrx I owned one as well.

@@FizuhcuL depends on where you live really. Here in Tennessee we've got lifted STIs, full blown time attack built stuff that gets daily driven. Check out 5th Gear Performance in Nashville, won't even say what they do but I will say 100% stock block not even fbo 2019+ are putting down 500+awhp. If you drive a WRX then a STI, the WRX feels like a toy. Totally different steering, transmission feel and the way it drives. Like night and day really.

Find one with similar mods and compare. You dont necessarily have to race but just drive them. Once you get passed the typical intake downpipe and tune on a sti it really changes the car. Both cars are fun and have different characteristics which makes them unique
