I am so sorry you are going through this. My husband’s family has been cursed with the BRCA2 gene mutation. It started with his sister being diagnosed at 41. It was their Dad that carried the gene. My husband and their younger sister were BRCA positive as well as one of her daughters. All three of them had preventative bi-lateral mastectomies. 15 yrs ago when my sister-in-law was diagnosed the treatment was not as good as today. She had a reoccurrence after about two yrs. She spent 8 yrs battling this disease until it took her life. It sounded like you were aware that one of your parents was a carrier. Knowledge is power. Hopefully if you have any siblings they will get tested. If I can be of any help to you pls reach out. Also, please prioritize your relationship and communication with each other. My sister-in-law ended up getting a divorce after her initial treatment. It is so hard navigating this terrible illness and all that goes along with it. You need the support and love that is being offered to you. I can only imagine how frightened you must be. Please let people help you during this time. Cancer affects everyone that knows and loves you. They all just want to help 🙏🏻💗

Hi. I was diagnosed with stage three her2+ about two years ago. I underwent chemo, radiation and mastectomy on my right breast. I couldn’t have reconstruction surgery for a long time after radiation, but before I did I researched it and learned what many plastic surgeons don’t tell their patients. There is something called breast implant illness and it has caused some women to have their implants removed because of the debilitating effects implants can cause sometimes. I decided not to put one in and instead “went flat”. I just thought you might b interested in knowing about this. Hope it can help and good luck to you

I was planning on getting donor embryos in December. But, got diagnosed in September. I'm 45. You are super young. You have a bright future. I don't feel sick either with Stage 3. But the appointments are so overwhelming.

My doctor has been keeping an eye on the enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit area of my breasts. I'm 33yrs old. I had a check-up with my doctor last month and she said that there were some lymph nodes that were larger than last time. I've been putting off going back to get my follow-up ultrasound and mammogram appointment. My appointment is finally scheduled for March 29th. I am really nervous just because they have grown in size.
