Hey Dag, I’m not sure of the key bind on PC but there is a button in the help menu that if you hold it down, will automatically move the harvester head to the tree. May help out :)

The low loader you currently have is actually pretty good. You can pull it with the big volvo wheel loader and can stack 2 6m containers onto it. The volvo loading fork also can grab all 6m logs of a fully grow tree easily, making it perfect for loading containers. Highly recommend this setup, takes me about half an hour to cut and load the trees, and you get 45-50k per container on normal difficulty.

I noticed this as well, that Volvo grabs a lot of logs then i drive to back of container, spin around the grabber and just drive forward until the logs are into the rear of container container. Sell and collect around 100k for 2 fully loaded 20ft containers.

I've been playing a lot of forestry as well and gotten tired of manually loading logs, too - strong recommendation, just go with a tractor + winch for aligning logs (easy, looks good on the video, fun) and then get an autoloading log trailer - the logs will look neat and tidy and it'll be way less painful

I would like to see you buy the old mill as soon as possible. This map is all about forestry and the second step in forestry (after cutting it all down) is to have it milled. With that mill, you'll have planks, long planks, beams and even the prefab walls (that sell for a nice price). The old mill even has a train station at it that makes it convenient to sell the extras you have on hand when you need a quick cash boost. This being a forestry map, I don't personally mind seeing some trees getting cut each episode. I expect it will be the best way to make money on this map.

Really, really enjoying this series. The only thing I would point out in the way of a possible problem -- when you are inside the sawmill building and have the flashing lights on the forklift, the light reflection during the time-lapse causes a strobe effect which can possibly trigger seizures in sensitive people. Maybe not have that light on inside? This has been a LOT of fun to watch and its cool to see all the different equipment used in the forestry.

FYI iron ore can be picked up from the ground with belts and augers. Thought it'd be easier for ya when you don't wanna spend time loading with a wheel loader. You can also feed the furnace from same. There's a collectible at the top of the waterfalls by your house on a rock in the middle of the lake btw.

Love the series. You should sell off that monstrous yellow log carrier, and buy a logging trailer (with the loading arm) to pull behind your tractor. holds more and goes faster.

Generally, my personal rule for super strength is it's only allowed if you own the equipment to do the task. For what you're doing here, you do, so I'm not bothered at all. For what it's worth, using a flight control stick makes loader and crane controls SO much easier in my experience. It might be worth a try to make your log crane operations a bit less tedious for you. Either way, this series may have finally sold me on FS22. I've been holding off as FS19 has been good enough, but this map looks like loads of fun! I can't wait to see what mapmakers and modders do with the new features!

The company I work for is a forklift and industrial equipment dealer. Your bucket raising on its own reminds me of a story where an order picker was being hauled on a flat deck trailer. The picker was an electric unit. The hydraulic motor kicked on and began to raise the carriage up. Not long after, the truck passed under a bridge. The result was what you can imagine. It destroyed the lift, damage the bridge and gave the truck driver a need to change his shorts!

3:45 You know you don't have to align the cutting head to the tree manually. Once you get the ring you can hold a button to make it align automatically. But, I have no idea wich button to use on pc lol, on ps5 it's L1+down on the d pad. Also when doing this it'll cut a bit high, so I tend to lower the head a bit after it's aligned. 5:20 Just go ahead and use superstrenght.. As you say it is much faster, meaning you'll have more time doing more interesting stuff rather than spending half the episode loading up wich we've seen a million times before. Also you should check out the autoload containers that came with the dlc (You can find them in the pallet section in the store).. Only set back with those is that you pretty much have to have a wheel loader or large tracktor to lift them once they're full.

Once you get a decent number of trees down and the old sawmill working at capacity along with the metal production You can make piles of money on this map, Ive found the farmtech DPW 1800 bale trailer (Youuse it in survival challenge) is great for this map as it autoloads pallets too. I drive it straight onto the platfornm, line up with the train flatbed and when I unload it unloads straight onto the trains flatbed and hand load long planks and beams to the plank trailer at the front of the train. you can make hundreds of thousands in hardly any time as the sawmill and metal factory both work quite quickly. Also if youre travelling north to the old sawmill along the main road you cross a bridge over a river just before the sawmill, on the right theres a tiny island with a collectible on it.

Next time you want a snow plow use the winch plow you get as starting equipment for the map also is you get stuck you can pull yourself forward with the winch as long as you cable to a standing tree Watch 23:53 of the video and look at the roof of the fire department you might find something to help pay a bill

To have a neat pile of logs, raise the cutting head of the machine a bit, so the following logs don't push the first away. Also, for logs a forestry trailer is really much better than a flat bed. Even the smallest make it so much easier to make a big pile to haul it all away.

There’s two sculptures on the way towards the container warehouse, firstly, on your right before crossing the first bridge you’ll notice a picnic area and near the white tarp you’ll find a sculpture. The second one is on a little bit of land that protrudes from the river at the second bridge before the container warehouse

A good tractor I recommend is the medium Landini (under medium tractors) Its a nice looking tractor, its powerful and fast.

Also, the piece of land accross from the rollercoaster is owned by you. I sold the trees on it, levelled the ground and put the metal factory there. A couple of long journeys with a big trailer for the ore but then the metal is nice and nearto ship to productions and to put on the train to sell.

You own land directly across from the roller-coaster. With some clearing and leveling it is the perfect spot for a production.

STOP work on the rollercoaster until you own the sawmill to the North. I did the math and the Southern Sawmill is a huge waste of money. I was working on figuring out the total cost when I looked at the prices in the South and realized this. The money you save will more than cover the cost of buying the Northern sawmill.... Hey, if your having trouble loading logs with mechinery, try using the POV camera angle, its MUCh easier, it makes the controls much more intuative. otherwise, using a front loader with the big log claw works much better and lets you pick up many logs in one go. I find that method quicker than superstrength.

In harvester, when you get yellow marker on tree, hold down O key and it will automaticaly move header to right place and you can just cut. And you sould use wood autoload trailers and ponse with wood autoload. I use them and they are best and easy work. Or just buy joystick, you get logiteck 3D pro about 50€.

if you park your trailer next to a tree near the ramps, you can use it to pull the trees straight as you load them. The bigger issue is that they roll off if you don't use a legit trailer.

I think part of the process of "ranking up" is loading slowly with poor equipment until you can afford better equipment to do it faster, such as the Volvo L200H HIGH LIFT. After all, there really are only two tasks when it comes to forestry, and those are cutting, and loading. So half the forestry equipment and tasks are eliminated with super strength. With some practice you can get fairly quick.

The new way I’ve been loading logs is by using a semi-truck log trailer with the new John Deere fellabuncher to cut two trees down, stack them, and use the new Volvo high reach loaded to put them on the truck. Easy.

A snowblower or snow thrower (depends on where you are from) would work a little better as it would allow you to move the snow to the side of the path you are trying to make instead of pushing it in front of you. Might be worth the money.

Hey Dagger, I think you are having similar problem that I had with the Volvo wheel loader, I found that it is very short and as such it will not dump correctly unless you raise the bucket higher, found this out 1st time trying to load ore into the Volvo dump truck, if I raised bucket all the way up then tilted bucket it would work, I think it's a hit box bug in silverrun forest, because same thing happened to me when trying to unload production pallets at the market with the small autoloader production trailer, when I switched to either the semi autoloader for pallets or used the larger single axle pallet autoloader trailer with the cages on it, it worked fine, so yeah think there is a height issue with sale points hit boxes in silverrun, idk try lifting your bucket higher or all the way and dump again see if furnace takes it then, because I know for a fact a regular wheel loader or front loader bucket works at the furnace...

You don't have to use the crappy loader at the mine you can use any loader in the game to scoop up the ore. The only problem is it won't let you dump it in any of the other trailers in the game you have to dump it into the crappy tipper at the mine, but still a time saver.

So you and move around faster or get a pickup truck that is a mod that can have the option for a flat bed for moving some stuff around or a dump truck for moving your iron or whatever

Its limited to 1 ton pick up sooooo in reality you using a modded version of super strength isn't a bad thing as most tree pieces your picking up are more or less weigh less than 1 ton.

Maybe look at getting the Thrustmaster t16000 dual joysticks, I know they are not cheap (£107) but it will mean your viewers are a lot happier because you are not using super strength. It will still be slow in the beginning until you get used to the controls but when you get used to the controls it will be so easy and quick.
