Brilliant! The phrasing alone made this one of the most intelligent and beautiful performances that I have ever heard. Incredible performance. This was also my favorite concerto to play. Haydn and Hummel are fun as well, but for some reason I always liked this one best and this guy nails it perfect.

Wunderschöne und erfreuliche Aufführung dieses fein komponierten Konzerts mit brillantem Ton der genialen Solotrompete und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen anderer Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und auch lyrisch. Der intelligente Maestro dirigiert das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im lebhaften Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Wunderschöne Musik. :-) Schade das man selbst nicht entscheiden kann wo genau die GEZ-Zahlung hingeht. :-) Anteilig bekommt zwar jeder was, aber halt auch die gute Chelena wenn sie mal wieder auf allen Öffentlichen gleichzeitig ausgestrahlt wird. Ein Großteil der GEZ würd ich dem HR-Orchester zu kommen lassen. Ein voller runder klarer schöner Klang in allen Registraturen. :-)

Actually this concert was originally written for the horn, not the trumpet. I think this would have been difficult to play on a baroque (natural) trumpet with no valves, no vent holes!

@@Artariastein Ich habe mal vor einigen Jahren einen Wettbewerb gespielt, bei welchem die ersten 2 Saetze Neruda Pflichtstueck waren. Mehr als die Haelfte der Teilnehmer hat auf eine Es-Trompete gespielt. Ich war selbst ueberrascht. Ich aber dafuer auf nem Fluegelhorn gespielt ;) Edit: und auf KZbin finden sich einige Aufnahmen auf einer Es Trompete. Verstehe ich bei dem Stueck nicht wirklich.

The conductor enjoys the music so much...he looks so happy. The intonation of the trumpet is so fucking nice, bright, agile but core-sounded listened to different versions using a bE trumpet...I prefer the heavy and powerful sound of bB trumpets

Him and Dudamel are the best examples of that you can grow to a big artist even from Colombia or Venezuela. AOE's case is even more outstanding because there is a musical education in Venezuela called El Sistema, Colombia doesn't have one.

la puissance ne sert à rien pour cette oeuvre c'est la douceur et le velouté qui comptent sinon ce n'est plus de la musique baroque .Seule la trompette mib convient pour cette oeuvre ou une trompette à pistons sib de petite perce comme lucienne renaudin vary mais c'est un phénomène français
